Question:

Hi I have just swopped out my Land Rover Discovery 5 HSE 2018 model for a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. I need a new hitch to take account of the approx 6" height difference between the 2 vehicles to keep my boat trailer level. I tow the following 1100lb trailer that I had made at Peterson Trailers in Tampa, FL: - 24/26 Tandem Torsion 7K can accommodate 5900# wet weight - Rear and center bunk configuration - 14foot Alloy Rims with Goodyear Tyres - Dual axle brakes w/ EOH unit 1600# PSI Marine Unit The boat is a Chaparral Sunesta 244 which has a dry weight of 4400lbs, so probably 5000lb wet with fuel and gear. I like the look of C83WR, but is the best option for my scenario? Thanks

The Curt Rebellion XD Shock Absorbing Adjustable Ball Mount # C83WR is a great option as it will provide cushioning between your boat trailer and your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4. It is adjustable with up to 6" of drop to level your trailer. I do recommend using the InfiniteRule Lock Set for Curt Rebellion XD Ball Mount # IR47FR to secure the hitch assembly to your Sierra.

If you have the Multipro tailgate and would prefer a hitch you can leave mounted in your receiver the Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BW49FR will allow you to do that. This hitch does only have a 4-1/2" drop so you will need to determine if that is enough to have your trailer level enough. This hitch does include a 1-7/8", 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball if you tow more than just your boat trailer.
