Measuring just 3-3/8" long x 3" wide x 7/8" thick, it mounts out of sight using the included adhesive pad or zip ties. The 3-axis accelerometer inside automatically senses direction, so it can be installed at any angle and still deliver smooth braking.
Set up and manage your trailer brakes right from your smartphone with Bluetooth connectivity. Using the free OneControl app, you can adjust max output, tweak sensitivity, or hit the manual override without needing a physical controller. The app also displays a live brake output indicator and lets you turn on hazard light protection to keep your trailer brakes from pulsing with your flashers. Once connected, the controller stores your last settings and keeps working even if Bluetooth drops.
Jerky stops disappear thanks to proportional braking that matches your vehicle’s deceleration. The built-in 3-axis accelerometer senses braking force and sends a matching signal to the trailer brakes for even, consistent performance. It works with trailers that have 1 to 4 axles (up to 8 brake assemblies) and supports electric trailer brakes. The result is steadier towing, better control in hills or traffic, and less wear on tires and pads.
If you tow more than one trailer, setup time can slow you down. With the Echo’s OneControl app, you can save profiles for multiple trailers and vehicles so each one has its own custom settings. Switching is as easy as swiping between saved profiles—no need to recalibrate or reprogram every hookup. Perfect for anyone managing different loads or swapping between rigs often.
Installing a brake controller doesn’t need to mean cutting wires or losing an afternoon. The included plug-in harness connects directly under the dash for a clean install that takes minutes. Just hardwire the pigtail once, plug in the box, pair your phone, and you’re ready to go. Built-in reverse polarity and short-circuit protection keep things safe from start to finish, with diagnostic LEDs right on the unit for easy troubleshooting.

Still 5 stars, lots of trips including a long tow of over 5000 miles. Consistently worked flawlessly. Mild annoyance that they changed the app but once I learned how the new app worked it continues to function flawlessly.

I reached out to Curt about the problems with the new app. They advised that the new app runs the same as the old app it has to run in the foreground unless they are using the button which is the same as the old app. They wanted to know if you were having trouble getting past that screen. Which type of cell phone do you have and which IOS are you using?
