Hi Mike,
I'm happy to help you get the right parts for your trailer. Based on my research, your 2001 Ranger tandem axle trailer likely has two 3,500-lb axles. You will want the Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3.5K Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K (you will need one per wheel), then you would slip on the brake set-up # K2R35D (per axle).
Regarding the axle, are you looking to replace it with a torsion axle that bolts right up to the frame, or are you just looking for a beam axle that has the correct spindles for disc brakes (because your current spindles will be just fine)? If you're trying to switch to a torsion axle, unfortunately, I don’t have an exact bolt-on option available. I actually have a 2004 Ranger in my garage, but mine is a single-axle model with a torsion setup, so our trailers are a bit different. From what I’ve found, it looks like your trailer may have a 4" drop axle, but to be sure, I’ll need a couple of measurements from you. Specifically, I need the hub face-to-hub face and spring center-to-spring center measurements (please refer to images that I attached on how to measure).
For example, if your hub face measures 89 inches and your spring center is 74 inches, and you do need the 4" drop, then the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam # 8327812 would be a match. To make sure we get you exactly what you need, could you also let me know what kind of brakes you currently have and how they are applied whether through an electric brake controller or a surge brake actuator? Once I have those details, I can confirm the best axle and parts for your setup. Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hey Mike, did you get a chance to take those hub face and spring center measurements for your Ranger trailer? Once you have them, I can help confirm which axle will match your disc brake setup. Let me know what you found so we can get you the right fit.
