Installation Step 2

2. Connect the yellow and blue cable at the back of the tire.

Installation Step 3

3. Push the cable into place behind the tire and center the cross chains on the tire's tread. Then, on the front side of the tire, join the 2 ends of the yellow side chain using the green hook.

Installation Step 4

4. Feed the silver draw chain with the rubber tensioner through the red channel at the bottom and pull it tight. Then run the tensioner through the red rings. (Note: Depending on your tire size, you might not be able to thread through both rings.) Pull the tensioner across the tire and fasten it to the yellow chain on the opposite side.

Installation Step 5

5. Pull your vehicle forward and retighten the chain.

How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle

To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire, as shown below.

Tire size on sidewall

185/60-15

  1. (185) - indicates tire width in millimeters
  2. (60) - gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width)
  3. (15) - denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches

Video Transcript for Titan Alloy Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2018 Toyota Tacoma

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Tacoma, we're going to be test fitting the Titan Chain Allow Snow Tire Chains part number TC2524. These tire chains come in a diamond pattern with a small link design here. And this is really going to help you out with those light snow and ice situations. Give you better stopping and starting power but also has greater tire coverage with the diamond shape and a much smoother ride because of the small links. These chains come with their own self tensioning system which is going to eliminate the need for after market rubber tensioner and they are very easy to install. It's pretty much color coded where things need to go, And, instead of having to go behind the tire to make your connections, or anything like that, everything is done out on the front and wrapped around very easy. Now as you can see it's not going to make any contact with anything around the tire or interfere with any cables or anything like that. These are SAE Class S chains which means they work well with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance, but as you can see, it's not going to be an issue here.

They do come in a quantity of two. Once everything is said and done it does come with an extra carrying case so once they are dried off you can put them in there and they are ready for next time.Today we're working with tire size 24575R16 and if these chains down fit your particular tire double check your size, go to our website and find the proper fit. These are very easy to install but they still can be a little bit trying on the hands so we do recommend you do wear a pair of gloves while you install these. We went ahead and laid the chain out in front of the tire like you see here. Just to make sure there's no kinks in the lines or anything like that. Our next step is we are going to take the yellow end and put it behind the tire and start making our connections.

Pull it forward, on both sides, and then we'll take our two ends and come up to the top and make our first connection. Pick it up like so and start bringing the chains forward a little bit, then we'll take our yellow link end to our bluish green hook connect it there. Then we will continue to drape the chain over the tire making sure this point here is at the center and that it's going over evenly.Take our chain and put it through our red catch here, pull it tight. Take our hook end, put it through the first loop and second and hook it up to the top portion of the chain. At this point we can drive a short distance, double check and make sure the tension is working properly and then we will be good to go.And there you have it for the Titin Chain Allow Snow Tire Chain on our 2018 Toyota Tacoma..

Fast delivery. Nice carrying case. Easy to install. Was looking for a tire chain that I could install with out moving vehicle. These are it. Got the idea to buy chains when seeing a semi with trailer stuck, driver put on chains and drove out. I have a 2wd pickup with posi and studded snow tires, it will go about anywhere, but with these chains I am not afraid of getting stuck. 173158

Did a trial install today in 3" snow with packed snow and ice on road. Chains did great. we'll see about deep snow when it happens. Definitely do a trial run to know what links you need and how it tightens. After initial install I drive 1 car length and adjusted yellow chain and rubber bungee. Then drove 75' and hooked bungee on farther. Drove 1 more for about 100' and did what would be my final adjustment on yellow chain and bungee. Drove at 30mph for a bit and they stayed tight. Oh and if you have a cell phone in your pocket leave it in the vehicle so u don't lose it in the snow like I almost did. 460655

Thank you for your email. . They have worked OK except the rubber component that is at the end of the chain ripped out of the chain and are unusuable as there is no way to tighten the chain to itself. This has happened on only one set of chains. We bought two sets of 2 for our 4X4. 453845

Purchased these for our service van here in NH. Been getting stuck in customer's driveways with snow & ice and had enough of it. Used them for first time yesterday to get out of my own driveway as it a slight incline & snowy so I had no traction. Got these on is about 10 minutes as it was first time. Back right out of driveway with no problem, removed in 5 minutes once back into dry pavement and I was on my way. Great product and definitely worth the purchase. Don't need them often but sure are a life saver when you do. Thank you etrailer! 342088

Review from a similar Titan Chain Diamond Alloy in Tire Chains

Although the chains installed easily, there was a defective weld on one of the links. The loose chain flailed around and knocked a brake line fitting off of my left front wheel. Lost brake fluid and no brakes. Still in the process of working out warranty claim between e- trailer and Titan chains 729319

Great product for our 2007 Honda Fit Sport. They fit perfectly. Instructions are very clear and with a little practice we were both able to get these on in 5-10 minutes. We have a cabin in Northern MN with a killer hill that is hard to navigate in winter. With the chains we were able to zip right up without any problems. 592630

Review from a similar Titan Chain Diamond Alloy in Tire Chains

Just completed fit-check of these chains on my two vehicles (2016 Toyota Tundra, P255/70R18, Michelin LTX MS2; 2010 Toyota Sequoia, P275/55R20 111S M+S, Bridgestone Dueler H/L) and all is good! Hardest part of installation was untangling the chains to lay out on the ground (that always is, for me!). Practice makes it easier. Thank you etrailer! Rolling a few revolutions and re-tightening chains IS important. Don't leave that step out. I'm going to add rubber tensioners (old-school, I know) just to be sure. Pics are of the 2010 Sequoia and 2016 Tundra. 598550

  • Comparing Titan Tire Chains TC2524 and TC2323
The main difference between Titan tire chains # TC2524 and # TC2323 is that the chain set # TC2323 is rated as an S Class chain, meaning that it requires less clearance to fit and operate safely inside the wheel wells on a passenger vehicle. Chains # TC2323 use links that are only 3.7mm thick, as compared to the chains # TC2524 which use links that are 5.5mm thick. This means that the smaller link chains # TC2323 will work on larger tire sizes. The compatible tire sizes for each set...

The Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, # TC2323, are a confirmed fit for the 245/75-16 size tires on your 2016 Toyota Tacoma. These chains are Class S compatible, meaning that the chains are designed to fit today vehicles with the larger rimmed wheels with clearance issues in the wheel well. The smaller link chain allows you to mount to your wheel and still have enough clearance between the wheel and wheel well. The link thickness for tire chains # TC2524 is what you would want to look at. Basically the chains will be sticking out from the tire sidewall by approximately 1/4 inch which is a little more than the link thickness. But I suggest planning on measuring out 1/2 inch just to be on the safe side. The only thing it says in the manual is to use cables such as # PW2129V which stick out about 1/2 inch (the cables are 0.425 inches in diameter).
