When you’re logging miles on the road, you want a tire that can handle the pace and the pressure. The Karrier ST185/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire is Load Range D (8-ply rated) and carries up to 1,709 lbs at 65 psi, with a speed rating of 81 mph (M). It meets Department of Transportation specs, so it’s built for steady highway tracking and smooth towing mile after mile.
Rain or shine, this tire stays sure-footed. The silica-infused tread compound and angled sipes reduce hydroplaning, while the 5-rib design keeps wear even and ride quality consistent. That means dependable traction and predictable handling on both wet pavement and dry gravel.
Radial ply construction keeps heat down when the miles stack up. The cords are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel, preventing friction between layers and cutting rolling resistance. Full nylon plies add strength to the sidewalls, giving the tire stability under heavy loads and extending its service life.
Things happen on the road, but this tire’s 1-year worry-free guarantee has you covered. If it’s damaged in any way within the first 12 months, it’s replaced at no charge. Add that to its 5-year limited warranty, and you’ve got long-term confidence right out of the gate.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
