When you’re logging long miles in heat or rough conditions, this radial tire stays steady and cool. The Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 is an 8-ply Load Range D tire rated for 1,220 lbs at 65 psi with a maximum speed of 81 mph (speed rating M). It’s constructed with double steel belts and full nylon plies to handle sustained towing without excess heat buildup and meets DOT specifications for highway use.
Standard trailer tires can feel stiff and wear unevenly, but the radial cords in this tire run at a 90-degree angle for less rolling resistance and cooler running over the long haul. 1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Excellent fit for my King trailer
Shipped quickly in a sturdy box. Tires look and feel great, not mounted yet. I had been running nylon belted bias ply tires on my snowmobile trailer. I buy one or two a year because the gravel road tears them up. I am stepping up to these steel belted radials in a higher load range. It will be a while before I have a use review...
I bought these for our 4 x 8 Carryall trailer. My sister and I use the trailer behind our Subarus a lot for hauling stuff to, from, and around our little farm, hauling the 4 wheeler, kayaks and canoes, when we go camping, hauling firewood, gravel, fertilizer, etc. etc. etc. It's cheaper than having a truck!
Overall I am impressed. Surprised at first by how they were packed - tread to tread in a large heavy cardboard box. I've bought other small tires elsewhere and had them come so tightly banded together that it made it hard to spread the beads to get them to seat. I mounted these with a couple old tire irons we have here on the farm, took less than 5 minutes for the 2, (I'm a 72 year old woman) they took air right away and the beads seated with less than 20 PSI.
They look good! They are a little bigger in diameter and in tread width. The 4.80/12 tires they replaced always looked... skinny. These look like real tires. The tread pattern is impressive too. It's a water moving automotive design, not the squiggly grooves of the old tires.
I was always concerned putting 90 PSI in the old ones in order to carry the weight, especially as they are now almost 20 years old, weather cracked and well worn. These new tires max inflate at 65 PSI.
We had 6" of snow the day after I mounted them and I had to go pick up some lumber. The trailer handled beautifully on the snow covered and then wet roads. It rides nicer too, not as jumpy as it was empty. Time will tell how they hold up, too soon to tell.
But.... as noted above, they are noticeably wider than the 4.80s they replaced, they extend beyond the fenders about an inch, a fact I had not anticipated. They threw an awful lot of slop on the lumber from the wet roads, and I'm concerned that a heavy load might bring the outside flange of the fender into contact with the tread. I guess I'm going to have to do something about the fenders. Time to fire up the welder! LOL

Well we cut the fenders in half lengthwise fired up the welder and added 2 inches to their width. That resolved the issue of the tires throwing slop. Taint particularly pretty, but its functional. As for the tires, they are fine. Weve run them a year now, out on the road and around the farm. Im pleased with them. We tend to load our trailer heavy, just had 560 board feet of green lumber on it, the tires didnt seem to mind at all. Except for the mud on them, they look as good as new. They ride well, have not given me any issues at all.

The new tires look great! Still need to get them mounted, but look to be a great replacement set of tires for my camper. I can now drive down the highway with the piece of mind that my tires are in good shape.
Great fit. Was just what I wanted. Was time to get rid of the old bias ply tires. Used them for a couple of hundred miles and over some rough mountain roads. Held up well. Looks like a winner!

Replaced worn out tires on behind motorcycle trailer. The trailer is back to its original non-swaying condition.
These tires are exactly what i needed. They came fast and didnt cost an arm and a leg. Tractor supply tires didnt last a month hauling my Z turn mower. They had a poor load rating of 745lbs. These are rated at 1220lbs and handle tye weight of my mowing equipment without fail. I will be ordering a backup set soon!
I put these on my Harbor Freight folding trailer. Mounted to the original rims easily. They are a little taller than the stock tires and rise above the trailer deck just a bit. My fenders fell off long ago so I don't know what that clearance would be. Obviously better quality than the originals.
Two tires on hubs and one tire without hub (Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire)arrived sooner than suggested when ordered. I thought exceptionally well packaged. Tire inflation was low on both mounted tires. Overall, a positive experience. I haven't used the trailer with the new tires yet; hopefully they will provide many miles of service.

Kenda has been around since 1962, so I'm guessing these tires will be good. They certainly look good, and needed very little weight for balance, which is a sign of quality.
I also wanted Radials, as here in Texas we have lots of straight, high speed highways.
If there are any problems, I'll do a follow-up.
After a few trips and several hundred miles, I am quite happy with these tires. Traveling at highway speeds, up to 70mph for more than an hour, the tires never got warm. Stored outside with no ground contact over NE Ohio winter and only lost a couple pounds of pressure.

Still happy as ever
Seem pretty good so far after a couple thousand miles
Ground shipping was free and took only a couple business days which was impressive over the holiday weekend. Wheels/tires look great--very happy so far, can't wait to get them on the skiff trailer. etrailer had the heavier rated tire for this rim size, most were the nylon biased ply--these tires give a better piece of mind for running longer distances given the awful construction conditions in NE FL!

This is actually a three year review! Switched from biased to these radials in April 2022. Its the best thing I've done for trailer tires! The trailer is a home built teardrop camper I built weighs little over 1k lbs. The radials have made a huge towing improvement in handling and ride!

Excellent! Tires made it through last season in great shape. They seem MUCH more durable than the bias plys I had been running. No punctures, no abnormal wear. My snowmobile trailer has now been sitting a few months but the tires were very impressive last winter.
