Features to know about

Built for Real-World Workloads: Load Range C with 910-lb Capacity

This Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire is made to handle everyday hauling with confidence. It fits 8" x 3-3/4" rims and carries up to 910 lbs at 75 psi, surpassing Department of Transportation standards. Whether you’re replacing worn rubber or upgrading for heavier duty use, the 6-ply, Load Range C construction gives you a solid margin for typical towing loads.

Smooth Rolling on Rough Surfaces: Durable Bias Ply Construction

The K353’s bias ply design uses thick nylon cords set at a 30- to 45-degree angle in alternating layers. That pattern keeps the sidewalls stiff so the whole tire flexes evenly across uneven ground. It translates to a steadier feel and smoother ride when you’re moving across gravel, grass, or mixed terrain without sacrificing durability.

Dependable Performance Backed by Warranty: 5-Year Limited and 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

This tire isn’t just built tough—it’s backed by real coverage. The K353 comes with a 5-year limited warranty plus a 1-year worry-free guarantee that replaces the tire at no charge if it’s damaged within the first 12 months. That kind of protection means you can mount it and go with peace of mind.

Sized Right for Easy Replacement: 5.70-8 with Compact Dimensions

With a section width of 5.9" and an outer diameter of 18.0" when inflated, this 5.70-8 tire slots neatly into setups using standard 8" x 3-3/4" wheels. It’s an exact fit for those looking to maintain proper clearance while stepping up to a dependable, DOT-tested tire that’s ready for daily duty.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Actually, came a day earlier than originally quoted. Tire sidewalls were a little deformed out of the box, but went on the rims ok.

by:

I bought these tires to replace the old cracked ones on one of my sailbost trailers. Good tires at a good price. These tires are as good as any on the market today. Beware of some of the tire sellers out on the market. I bought from e-trailer because I can trust there products. etrailer sells good stuff at good prices.

by:

I have yet to use these items but the date stamped on tires showed a very recent manufacturer date, it shows your inventory is current and the shipping was extremely fast. If anything changes I will update but very happy with etrailer and will use again .

Tire 5.70-8etrailer offers a great price on products and shipping. Shipping is fast. Quality of products offered is great. I stumbled across their website when I was searching for new trailer tires (tires only) and glad I did. Plus, good to see they are a local company (in the same state).

by:

These guys know how to ship tires. The tires came in a heavy wall box made for the size of tires. They were not flat or smooshed like the other 10 times I've gotten b.s. shipped tires before and the prices were good. Will definitely order from here again.

by:

The tires are great, nothing out of the ordinary, but they arrived quickly and met my needs exactly.

What I am more impressed with is etrailer's service. I've ordered a few things over the past few years, and in a world where the customer often comes last, etrailer has been top notch with service and communication. I even cancelled an order once because I changed plans. They took care of that immediately, reimbursing my card, no questions asked.

I'm doing this review because I received an email asking me to -- one year after ordering the product. That's smart! Most places want you to review before you've even had a chance to use it. Thanks!

by:

Tires were shipped ot and received just as described! Great service.

by:

Seems like a good quality tire for my utility trailer. Mounted them fairly easily on the old wheels once I found the right youtube instructional video! The right lube and strategically placed vice grips made all the difference!

by:

Easy installation, fit great, quick shipping, and good price. Very satisfied

by:

Great product sold by a first class online retailer. Great communication fast shipping and quality what more do you want.

One year later and these tires have been great.

by:

I was surprised to get an invitation to review these tires about a year after purchase. That is a pretty rare commitment to quality and that makes me a pretty big fan of etrailer that's for sure!
When I originally purchase these I recall they were on a back order and took some time to come in, but etrailer was communicative throughout and honored the price at the time of the order even though tire prices were skyrocketing at the time and had gone up considerably by the time they were able to ship. They really are a class act.

As for the tires they are great too!

I had purchased a couple of sets of load range C tires (4.10-8) on rims locally at a big box store prior to this set and had a bunch of problems. They'd air themselves down because of poor fitment to the rim, and dry-rotted and checked within a year of being on the trailer.

These tires on the other hand are excellent in every way. They fit the standard 8" rims properly and hold air and a year later they still look great. They have good side to side traction and handle loading very well. They seem to wear like iron. They are well balanced.

I used these as an up-grade option over 4.10-8 Load Range C tires mounting them myself (I've got a manual tire machine) on the same rims after carefully measuring for clearance on the trailer. This was a good choice for me as even though I don't try to overload the trailer these slightly larger tires provide a better ride under a full load and generally are a tougher tire and better riding.

They travelled 1,300 to KY from MD and back shortly after I mounted them. While in KY I helped my Mom take down an entire garden shed, hauling it, everything that was in it, and a lot of other junk to the landfill in my small trailer (multiple trips). There were times where if I wasn't overloading the trailer, I was definitely at the bitter edge. I felt a lot more confident with these shoes on the trailer than I ever had with any other.

All in all these tires have my confidence and my recommendation!

  • Wider Tire to Replace 4.80 x 8 Load Range C Tires
The 4.8 x 8 tires like # AM30060 are 4.7 inches wide and use a 3-3/4 inch wide wheel. For a wider tire I recommend the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire - 5.70-8 - Load Range C # AM10012. This tire is 5.9 inches wide. This tire will be 18 inches diameter when inflated and is rated for 910 lbs at 75 psi. This tire will not only be wider but will almost be 2 inches taller raising your trailer by about 1 inch. For any other tire, you would also need to replace the wheel.

The Steel Trailer Wheel # AM20016 has a 0.453" diameter opening for a valve stem. Since you need up to 100psi I recommend using the Metal, Bolt-In Valve Stem # AM20906.
