This setup is built for dependable towing at normal highway speeds. The Kenda 5.70-8 bias tire carries a 715-lb maximum load at 50 psi with a 4-ply rating, matched to a steel wheel rated for 910 lbs. Both meet Department of Transportation specs, so you can tow confidently knowing the tire and wheel are working within tested limits.
Moisture, grime, and road salt are no match for this wheel’s white powder coat over an e-coat primer. That layered finish resists rust and corrosion season after season, keeping the steel surface protected and looking clean even after long exposure to wet or humid conditions.
The bias design uses thick nylon cords laid at a 30- to 45-degree angle in alternating layers. This pattern stiffens the sidewalls so the entire tire flexes together, improving handling and giving a stable, smooth ride when towing over rough or uneven ground. It’s a simple layout that feels solid on real-world terrain.
The steel wheel measures 8" in diameter by 3-3/4" wide with a 4 on 4" bolt pattern, 0 offset, and a 2.5" pilot diameter. Wheel bolts use 1/2"-20 threads. The tire’s section width is 5.8", with an outer diameter of 18.1" when inflated—clear specs that make matching parts straightforward.
Kenda backs this assembly with a 1-year worry-free guarantee that replaces the tire if it’s damaged in any way within the first 12 months, plus a limited 1-year warranty on the wheel and a 5-year warranty on the tire itself.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

These are "Load Star" branded tires, that are, I assume, made by Kenda. I know them from motor cycle circles and are labeled "High Speed". I'll try them out. They look pretty good to me! Wheels are powder coated and contain no sharp or protruding edges. They even arrived pumped up to the maximum pressure. Thanks, etrailer!
These trailer tire/wheels were delivered quickly and with excellent packaging. Old tires were cracking and needed replacement. These should do nicely for many years.

The original tires lasted 10yrs. and they started to show signs of dry rot due to the AZ. weather. What a great buy. I've installed these tires on my golf cart which is driven on asphalt pavement all the time. More reasonable than org. golf cart tires and much easier to steer versus org. golf cart tires. A great buy and excellent service and fast delivery .
First set of tires would not fit (my fault). Second set with wheels arrived last night and I installed them right away. Great fit and good tires. Only reason I did not rate top excellent as I returned the first tires about 10 days ago and have not received a refund yet.

Not a Product Review. After all it is a Tire. Wheel appears to be well coated for rust resistance. Only repeated dunking into saltwater will tell.
I almost never give 5 Stars. In this case it reflects purely on their Sales Dept. Communications was great. From the first one telling me that my purchased choice would take more than a month, to correction of the Order when UPS lost 1 of the 2 Tires ordered, thru to the very fast replacement of the lost Tire.

I had been looking around for some time trying to narrow down the tire and wheel I needed for a very old trailer. The "etrailer.com" site gave me instructions on where and how to make the proper measurements.
An order was placed, and with communication from the company handling the wheel and tire, I received a great quality wheel and tire combination that fit perfectly.
Had old motorcycle trailer that needed to be freshened up. Learned the hard way that old tires can be a problem. Matched old tires with these as a replacement. Quick delivery along with new hubs and bearings. Tires went on trailer and did 600 mile round trip with two dirt bikes on trailer without any problems. Very happy with etrailer.com and would buy again.
So far so good. The wheels are nice and mount up nice. Tubes/ tires hold air, no leak down etc. always check the pressure and they’re always right on.The tires seem to be pretty quality, although even with less than 500mi on them now the tires do have some visible wear, and never ran them with much weight on my trailer. But at this price, it’s easy and cheap to keep a spare on hand and ready just in case.
Great service, products arrived a day early, and more than fair prices.
This was my first time doing business with etrailer, but it will NOT be my last.

As happy today as I was a year ago.

My tires are holding up very well. Ive not had to add any air throughout the year and are hauling the weight of my motorcycle and camping equipment, also my riding lawn mower, and heavy logs of firewood.
Received an email from etrailer asking for a review after 1 year. I will do so on the condition there is NO editing of my review. Doing that will get a 1-star rating.
I bought a utility trailer at auction but couldn't move it due to flat/bald tires. After much research (never having owned a trailer) I bought the tires/wheels from etrailer, mounted them on the trailer, and brought it home.
Pros
-great price
-fast shipping
-knowledgeable friendly staff on phone (I did call once for advice before purchase)
-well-packed product in heavy cardboard, no damage at all

-there was some lacking information on the website in regards to tire specifications, such as top speed and why it was only rated at that speed (55mph). having that information clarified would have been very nice but it seems to be related to these tire sizes in general. IIRC, phone tech support was not able to really clarify the issue either, so I just went with my selection and best guess as to the reasons why after doing further research.
I actually haven't even used my trailer yet even though it's been a year, but coincidentally, I will actually be doing so next week. Tires have held air all year long so I doubt there will be problems. a month or two later, I ordered another set of wheels and tires for a motorcycle trailer I picked up cheap. same issue with needing them as above. there was no issue with those in ordering or receiving either.
I had never used this company before but am extremely pleased with the price and the service. I took advantage of a free shipping offer as well. That really helped as two tires and wheels can be very heavy. I don't know how etrailer is making any money on me this time. As for the product itself, I couldn't be more pleased. I checked the date code on the tires and found them to be produced about two months before delivery. I will use this company again.

Still very pleased with the wheels and tires. They fit perfectly to my small popup trailer and their appearance beats the heck out of the rusted 36 year old wheels I had on there before. My restoration project popup trailer feels safer with those new wheels and tires. Kenda tires are a well known brand so I expect a long life. I also appreciate etrailer.com for getting back with me a year after the purchase.
