Rough roads and long hauls can shake everything in the trailer. The heavy-duty gas shocks in this kit absorb up to 50 percent of the vibration and impact before it reaches the frame. Each shock measures 17-1/2" extended and 11-1/2" compressed, using nitrogen-charged cylinders that limit both compression and rebound. The result is steadier tracking, less sway, and a quieter tow on pavement, gravel, or cobblestones.
When one axle hits a bump, traditional equalizers move that energy to the other—causing bounce and tire lift during braking. The Comfort Ride design isolates the axles with center hanger boxes so each spring works on its own. That isolation prevents axle roll-up and keeps all four tires planted, improving traction while braking by as much as 70 percent. It means a safer, more predictable stop every time.
Standard equalizers pivot and transfer shock through the frame. These 27" longx1-3/4" wide slipper leaf springs slide quietly inside the center hanger box between a roller and safety bolt. As the trailer moves, the roller translates up-and-down motion into smooth front-to-back movement. The five-leaf, 3/8"-thick springs each carry 3,500 lbs and use pressed-in Never Fail bushings that need no grease or maintenance.
Each spring eye comes fitted with molybdenum- and graphite-filled bushings, tougher than brass or nylon and designed to run dry without squeaks. The bolt-on hangers fit 3"-diameter axles—typical of 5,200- to 7,000-lb setups—and include all mounting hardware. With four slipper springs, two center hanger boxes, and four shocks, the system installs cleanly using existing hangers and a drill for the frame brackets.

After a complete frame rebuild and reinforcement caused by weak factory suspension. There is no question the Roadmaster suspension is still the best upgrade we have done on our 5th wheel RV.

Really like the Roadmaster comfort ride suspension. It greatly reduces movement of products inside the 5th wheel while towing compared to the original CRE 3000, often on decent roads nothing moves at all, on rough roads still some movement but nothing like before. Strongly recommend

This was the best thing I could have done to make the 5th wheel experience a good one. Prior to installing failing to properly secure things in the trailer would not end well. After the install, items remained where they were last placed.

Wow, already been a year since install??!! Have put near 1k miles on since install and ride has been amazing. No more broken drawers in the back of the camper and most items in cabinets tend to stay put. Im a little concerned about the slack in the slipper spring, the side to side movement specifically, and what wear that could cause to the tires, but only more miles will tell to the tale. We do get an annoying suspension squeak from the pads that ride on the leaf springs. I found some silicon spray will quiet it down for a while so that has become a monthly maintenance item so it doesnt sound like a 20 year old POS in the campgrounds. We recently upgraded to a dually as well as upgrading the pinbox to a Reese Goosebox and have a really good ride on these crapy CO roads. All in all still very happy we did the upgrade.

Hmmmm, you should definitely not be having issues with it coming loose, especially so often. I have gotten in contact with the manufacturer and they believe that this sounds like an initial install issue. It could be that the factory tie plates were installed on the top of Roadmaster's. It could be that they were not properly torqued. As for the U-bolts; yes, they would suggest replacing the U-bolts and the lock nuts. According to Roadmaster, they would like to speak with you personally to do some additional troubleshooting with you and get to the bottom of the issue. I will send you their contact information in a separate email.
