Question:

I want to install the Roadmaster Comfort Slipper spring suspension with shock absorbers on my 2021 grand design reflection 337rls. Can I install Morryde x-factor cross members on all 3 hangers? What additional hardware would be needed, etc. , longer bolts? Longer u bolts? Would it be better just to use cross members where the leaf springs attach and not on on the equalizer hanger? Do you know if I would use the standard cross members our need the down on my RV?

Hello Robert, thanks for reaching out. The Roadmaster Comfort Ride is a great choice for a suspension upgrade. This system is compatible with the MORryde X-Factor Crossmembers, so you can add those to all 3 hangers if you wish.

One thing I would do is look at your hangers and make sure they are standard hangers welded to the frame. Make sure there are no obstructions like wiring or plumbing that would get in the way. You can do the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember # MR33WR, or you can do the MORryde X-Factor Dropdown Crossmember # MR84AR if needed.

MORryde recommends using crossmembers on all 3 hangers for optimal support. You can do the center hanger only, but it would not be recommended to do the front and rear hangers only.

As far as the comfort ride system, I will need to confirm your axle capacity and tube diameter. The Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit # RM-2460-2570 is for 7,000 lb axles with a 3" diameter. If you need something different just let me know.

Hey Robert, how did things go with adding the MORryde X-Factor crossmembers to your Reflection’s hangers? Did the setup with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride suspension work out the way you wanted? Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar upgrade.

I did not do the Comfort ride suspension at this time. I did add 3 of the Morryde crossmembers. I ended up needing the extension brackets for the rear one, because of the fresh water tank drain.
