Question:

I’m planning on installing Roadmaster comfort ride springs on my 2024 Brinkley Z3100 fifth wheel with 7 k axles. I’d like to install the Morryde X factor crossmembers at the same time. Which Morryde kit do o use for that? Will the MR33WR work with that roadmaster product?

It sure will Chuck and welcome back! The Roadmaster Comfort Ride item # RM-2460-2570 is only going to block your middle spring hanger but you will definitely be able to install the MORryde X-Factor Crossmembers like item # MR33WR on the front and rear hangers.

What you'll need to do is check the type of spring hangers you have on your Brinkley 5th wheel. The MORryde item # MR33WR is designed for standard frame hangers. I've attached a couple of pictures below of what they look like installed. I recommend taking a quick look at yours to verify this is the kind of spring hanger you have.

How many crossmembers were you wanting to install and does your Brinkley have standard spring hangers?

This was one of the best things I added to my 2022 Columbus 382FB. I had them installed just because I didn't have enough jacks to Jack up the frame. If you have a tandem axle RV I would recommend having one installed on each hanger. It is piece of mind while towing my 41 foot fifth wheel. I have seen a lot of spring hangers broken while doing my research. My rig is approximately 15,000 pounds when loaded. Anything I can do to assist with keeping my spring hangers a little more secure and keep the frame in tact while towing is worth it to me.

I did not have the budget for the Roadmaster Comfort Ride and went with the Morryde SER4000 and three Morryde X factor at one at each schackle point, on my 38' FOrest River Sandpiper bunkhouse 11800 # empty. The ride difference while towing was greatly improved. Items stayed in the shelf and in the closets. I use a Trax Dolley at times for parking the 5th wheel and that put significant strain on the suspension, I feel more confident with the three Morryde X factor supports installed.

One of the earliest upgrades i did for my travel trailer was to upgrade and replaced all of the suspension on my travel trailer. One of the items I upgraded to was the Mo Rride cross members i believe it helps with additional Cross structure under the trailer along with all of the other items I replaced . Owning a new travel trailer is a constant maintenance and staying ahead of what will fail next. Its just part of ownership. Thank you David
