Note: This replacement motor is designed for use in Dometic FanTastic roof vents with 17-rpm motors manufactured in 2014 or after. If your fan is of a lower rpm or manufactured before 2014, this motor will still work, but you will need to cross the wires. For example, instead of red to red and black to black, you will need to connect the red wire to the black wire and the the black wire to the red wire.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a quick look at this replacement off-white 17 rpm lift motor for the Fan-Tastic Vent B Series roof vents with powered lifts. Now, if you're needing to replace a damaged 17 rpm auto-lift motor in your Fan-Tastic Vent B Series roof vent with a powered lift arm, then this just might be what you need. This replacement motor is designed for use in the Fan-Tastic Vent roof vents with a 17 rpm motor manufactured in 2014 or after. Now, if your fan is of a lower rpm or if it's manufactured before 2014, I have good news for you.
This will still work but you will need to cross the wires. For example, instead of the red wire, let me get you in frame here. Instead of the red to red and black to black, you would just need to connect the red wire to the black wire and the black wire to the red wire. And as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, this is off-white in color. And you are going to get everything that you see here along with the mounting screws for your installation.

Use this 17-rpm auto-lift motor to replace the damaged one in a Dometic FanTastic B Series roof vent with a powered lift arm.My Fantastic Fan is a '94 Airstream vintage. No exact replacement is available. Dometic gave me a replacement part # Which I couldn't find either. But the replacement part number for the Dometic # is this fan motor. I was able to retro fit this motor with a few spacers and a new gasket made to cover up the gaps from the old motor housing. It works great, faster, 17RPM vs. 7RPM. I am a happy camper.

Product seems to be working well after many months. Since you are the primary supplier of this part I felt price gouging was being used toward customer. I had to buy two replacement dc motors at XX dollars each.
I was pleased with the quick shipping (we are
in Alaska and often have longer waits). This was a plug and play quick installation. I will mention that it was only because I had read the full product description that I knew it was necessary to reverse the wiring, as my fan was made before 2014. There was nothing in the package to let me know that was needed.
Let me first say that the Cust. Service, Price, and speed of delivery incl. tracking was Excellent. The reason for my Average rating because this motor does not have the manual mode which my old motor had and miss. Just wished it was stated as such on the website description.
This replacement motor was a perfect fit for my RV, howver, I am giving it only 4 stars because unlike my original unit, this one does not allow the shaft to be disengaged for manual operation if needed, which brings into question; why is there a manual twist knob on it if the unit can't be switched to manual operation

After one year of use, the replacement motor continues to work as it should. Needless to say, I am pleased with its performance.
The roof vent fan lift motor worked great. My motor still worked but the connector to the lift mechanism had broken. It was plastic connected to 2 metal shafts. The new motor came with a complete metal connector. So this failure was corrected. That makes me happy

Part fit and worked. This was for a 2003 camper and it worked perfectly. Website was easy to navigate and described the part exactly.

Working just fine.
Fit perfect on an 8 year old fantastic fan.
Parts arrived in a timely manner and in the condition promised. This was a great replacement for my original equipment that had stopped working.
Use the white plastic trim from my old one and it works well. Although the price is in line with others, there is a huge profit margin on this part.

Works great easy to install. The comments about reversing wires to make it 8 rpms instead if 17 rpms does not work. I think it works better at the higher rpms.
Part was just what the doctor ordered and replacement was simple: pull the old part (with a plastic gear) and plug in the new part. New part works like a charm and I don't expect it to fall apart anytime soon.
I have purchased two of these parts, and although I was unsure at the time, if they would be direct replacements for the broken original part, but they work just fine and have continued to work well. I am very satisfied with the service I received, and the quality of the product.

Did'nt install yet, look like my hold o ne.
I used to get these for $XX each not so long ago. For them to now be double that price is absolutely ridiculous to say the least. And they still only last about a year before the female core gets stripped out, should be made of a stronger material.

I did reach out to the manufacturer and it depends on the model number of the fan as to whether it can be switched to a manual operation. The lift motor is a replacement for more than one model. The knob is going to be difficult to turn, even if the fan has a manual mode.
