Features to know about

Smooth Out the Rough Roads: Rubberized Equalizers Absorb Shock

Rough pavement, potholes, and washboard roads can rattle everything inside. These Equa-Flex cushioned equalizers use rubber cores to soak up road shock and chucking so your ride feels smoother and quieter. The built-in cushioning helps keep your suspension from transferring harsh jolts through the frame, cutting down on bounce and sway while protecting your gear from hard impacts.

Reliable Strength Under Load: Built for 5,000-lb to 8,000-lb Axles

When you’re carrying heavy loads, you need suspension parts that stay solid. These equalizers are rated for tandem-axle setups with 5,000-lb to 8,000-lb axles, giving you a strong connection that holds up mile after mile. The steel construction is finished with a corrosion-resistant black powder coat for long-term durability in all conditions.

Simple Upkeep That Lasts: Greasable Pivot and Bronze Bushings

Keeping your suspension moving smoothly is easy here. The greasable pivot lets you add fresh lubrication through a simple zerk fitting, and the durable bronze bushings come pre-installed for a tight, long-wearing fit. Wet bolts and flange nuts are included, so you can get everything bolted together right out of the box.

Ready for a Straightforward Install: Fits 1-3/4" Wide Double-Eye Springs

Setup is quick and clean thanks to a design that matches 1-3/4" wide double-eye leaf springs. With 7-1/2" between bolt holes center-to-center, 3-3/4" between the hanger bolt and side bolt, and a 4" height, the geometry is already dialed in. Once installed, the system lets your springs move freely for smoother articulation and a consistent ride every time.

Very easy to assemble

by:

by:

Easy to install so far there working as expected

by:

Still waiting for the equalizers to arrive, wet bolts delivered yesterday.

by:

As much as I paid for these, the mounting hardware should have been included instead of having to order a hardware kit costing an extra $XXX. If I didn’t need these so bad I’d return them.

by:

My RV came with this style and brand so it as a no brainer to replace them after nine years of travel and thousands of miles.

by:

Went together like it was supposed to, step up from previous equals flex equalizers.

by:

Perfect Item
Fast delivery!!!!!

by:

Direct replacement for existing Equa Flex suspension component. The original didn’t last long (5000 miles) but a replacement with the greasable pivots and replacement to beefier stock linkages should help. Time will tell. Installation easy enough - did it at the RV park with some wood blocks, 8 ton jack and hand tools. Not an excellent review because I’m a bit disappointed the original didn’t last long.

by:

Easy to install.

by:

Wow! Trailer rides a lot smoother, between new leaf springs and the new equalizers the trailer rides better than it did when new.

by:

We went on a cross country trip right after I installed the new equalizers and I will say that the towing was smoother, softer with less jarring especially over RR tracks and uneven bumpy pavement.

by:

These equalizers were a direct replacement for the existing set on my trailer. I like that they have greaseable bolts.

by:

Excellent sevice

by:

Bronze bushings should be replaceable and should include wet bolt for center hanger in the kit. Product was easy to install and appears sturdy.

by:

Nice product for a good price. Love that they but greasable bolt on the bottom pivots.

by:

Previously had the Equa-Flex on my camper, this purchase was to replace the set as one was bent, still trying to figure out how it got bent as the suspension hangers were not damaged and the suspension is aligned

by:

I was in doubt that it was the correct part as what it was replacing was a different color.
When I called customer service, Paula took the time to go over every measurement with me and also explained that the color had changed, assuring me that it was the correct part.
She also made notes about some slight damage from shipping and also will allow extra time beyond the 60 day return policy just in case the part is not needed when the camper gets worked on .
Photo is of the old part that the equalizer is possibly replacing.

by:

The install was easier than I expected, my order was to be on Friday March 20. It got delivered Monday. March 23, USPS screwed up on the delivery

by:

Everything arrived on time and I put everything on last night and everything worked great thanks for your help and quick delivery on the parts I needed for my fifth wheel thanks again

by:

I think the product was overpriced. Found the same product through lipien. At half the price, but it was not in stock.

by:

Looks great and probably very much functional, but I only received one of the equalizers rather than the pair. Emailed etrailer for the second one and waiting on response. Hopefully I get it promptly because I have a time slot budgeted out next weekend to work on this trailer.

UPDATED REVIEW: eTrailer is get me the missing equalizer and they were easy to work with. Appreciate that. These are installed on a horse trailer and it definitely smooths the ride out to almost air ride like. When traversing thru potholes or over speed bumps, the axles articulate like a centipede crawling over and dont even hardly notice the trailer bounce. 5 stars for the ride quality! Unfortunately, durability wise, only 2, maybe 3 stars at best. We sue this trailer on a daily basis and they are already worn out after 6 months, even with them being greaseable. I have been having continuing problems with the wet bolts plugging up see my review on the Lippert wet bolt shackle kit and the pivot bushing wore itself into the equalizer housing. I had to weld and re-bore this hole just to replace the bushing I didnt have time to wait for replacements, the trailer had to get back on the road right away. The bushings in the lower flex arms are worn out as well. I am meticulous on maintenance and have tried everything to help these last but in the end, spending $450+ every 6 months to keep replacing these is not sustainable. The root cause I believe to this problem is the leverage the axles have on upper pivot when making turns. I do not know how to avoid this as it is simply a matter of where the shackles are mounted in relation to where the pivot is. I will probably be looking at an air ride conversion ultimately, but in the meantime, I will be ordering another set of these along with the wet bolts and see how long I can make it.

  • Selecting The Correct Cushioned Equalizer and Wet Bolt Kit For a Grand Design 2800BH
The Lippert Equa-Flex # LC145546 is the closest cushioned equalizer from Lippert to fitting your Grand Design 2800BH. This particular kit is rated for 5K-8K axles. The MORryde CRE3000 # MR27ZR is going to be the best option for your camper. While this is rated for axles up to 8K all of the CRE3000 equalizers carry this same weight capacity. Do understand the different constructions for these equalizers mean while they may look similar they actually operate differently and since the Lippert...

Hey Rick, it looks like your 2018 Keystone Carbon TT Toy Hauler has tandem 6k axles which would mean that the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC145546 is the correct kit. As far as shackles go, you'd need to measure your current shackle and pick a kit that matches. So for instance, if you measured 3 1/8" long, then the Lippert Tandem Axle Equa-Flex AP Kit # LC64FR is what you'd need. If your shackle bolts measure something different, let me know what that is and I'll see what we have.

That’s not a major issue, but since you’ll be replacing some suspension components anyway, we can take this opportunity to get everything aligned into that sweet spot for optimal performance. Hi Harold! The Dexter E Z Flex Equalizer Kit part # K71-654-00 would not be a replacement I’d recommend for your Lippert Equa Flex 258756. The correct replacement for your existing Equa Flex is the Equa Flex Cushioned Equalizer part # LC145546. The Dexter equalizer is considerably shorter than what you have now, so swapping to it would change the geometry of your suspension rather than giving you a direct replacement. I’d stick with the # LC145546 so you can keep the suspension geometry...

If you choose to keep the Equa-Flex # LC145546 system you can go with the heavier springs but just know that it will likely wear the equalizer even faster since the springs will not flex as much under the weight. Hello George, thanks for reaching out. When replacing equalizers and shackles, it is critical that the replacement parts are identical in size to the stock components. There is a small amount of tolerance, like maybe 1/2" or less, but any difference more than this can throw the suspension off and cause things to go out of alignment. Also, the axle spacing is not the best thing to use for selecting an equalizer. The best way is to go strictly off the dimensions of the current equalizer....
