Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at this replacement 1/2 inch diameter drive-in trailer hub wheel stud, for a quantity of one. Now this half inch stud is designed to replace a damaged wheel stud on your trailer hub. Basically, this portion right here is a raised spline portion of the stud. This is what'll be driven or pressed into your trailer hub to hold this stud in place. Now this stud is what'll go through the bolt hole on your trailer wheel when you put your wheels on your trailer, and it's then used with a wheel lug nut that'll go over this and tighten down and hold your tire wheel to your axle.
Now these are a grade eight bolt. If you just look on the head, you'll see six lines that are stamped on there, that lets you know that it is a grade eight strength. The stud size is a 1/2 inch diameter by 20. What that's telling you is the diameter of the thread is 1/2 an inch and it's 20 threads per inch. It is required to use the 1/2 inch by 20 size lug nuts.
A few measurements I wanna give you. We're gonna do the stud length, and the length will be measured from under the head to the very end. So if we put our ruler on that, you'll see it's right at 2 1/4 inches for the length. And the thread length, which is just the portion right here which is the thread, you can see that's gonna measure right at 1 5/8 inches. But that should do it for a look at the replacement 1/2 inch diameter drive-in trailer hub wheel stud.
