Replacement Drive-In Wheel Studs with 1/2-Inch Diameter and 1-3/4-Inch Length

Updated 10/21/2014 | Published 10/20/2014

Question:

I have a 5x8foot utility trailer. The number 45264 is stamped into the back of the hub. I replaced the bearings with Redline kit BK2-100. I am having trouble finding the press fit wheel studs locally. They are approximately 1 3/4inch long, 1/2inch diameter. The holes in the hub for the studs are 1/2inch diameter. By measuring the removed studs knurled section, it comes up smaller in diameter than any of your advertised studs. Is this because of the fact that they were previously installed? Also, the length of the knurled section is 0.62. The thickness from the back of the hub to the face of the hub where the stud mounts is 0.70. Is RG03-040 the correct part for my application?

The number 45264 that you found on your hubs is likely a casting number rather than a part number. I was not able to cross-reference that to any parts we offer. But at right you will find a link to all of our drive-in wheel studs with 1/2-inch diameter, such as the Redline # 7-150

On each page you will find a diagram with the studs dimensions. This should help you match up to what you need for your hubs.

Yes, it is likely that the used stud's dimensions will be different than those for a new one of the same size. You will of course want a stud with a spline diameter larger than the holes in the hub.
