When you’re hauling after dark or in traffic, visibility matters. This red, rectangular tail light handles seven functions—stop, turn, tail, rear clearance, rear reflex, side marker, and side reflex—so other drivers can clearly see your trailer from every angle. Measuring 8-1/16" long x 2-7/8" wide x 2-13/16" deep, it meets lighting needs for trailers over 80" wide without requiring an extra clearance light.
Rain, road spray, or full submersion won’t slow this light down. The molded plastic housing and durable lens are fully waterproof and corrosion resistant, giving you reliable performance even in wet or harsh conditions. It’s designed for long service life without worrying about moisture sneaking in or rust taking hold.
Rough roads can shake bulbs loose in lesser lights. This one uses a shockproof socket that keeps the bulbs protected and extends bulb life. When it’s time for maintenance, the screw-on lens makes bulb replacement quick and simple—no special tools or tricky clips to deal with.
The Plug-N-Go two-wire molded connector makes setup straightforward and secure. It provides a watertight link to your trailer’s electrical harness while grounding through the frame. Universal right-side mounting on 2" centers means it bolts right up with the included hardware and gets you back on the road fast.

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number ST26RPG. This is the Optronics Over 80" Rectangular Submersible Trailer Light for the right-hand side of your trailer. The red, rectangular trailer light is going to serve seven functions for trailers more than 80" wide such as your stop, turn, tail, rear clearance, rear reflex, side marker, and side reflex indicators. It's going to feature a waterproof and corrosion-resistant design, replaceable lens, as well as two incandescent bulbs. The bulbs are going to sit in a shock-proof socket. It's going to guarantee a long bulb life. I went ahead an pulled a similar light and removed the lens.
That way you can see the internal components. One of the features that makes this light very unique is it has this protective casing that goes around the incandescent bulbs to protect them from the elements and guarantee a long bulb life. If you ever need to change out those bulbs, that casing is held on there with four screws. All you have to do is undo those screws. That's going to allow that casing to come right off. Then you can gain access to the bulbs as needed. Taking a look at the back side of the light, it's going to feature a universal mount design.
This is going to have three mounting slots. If we take a measurement, the distance that we have between the mounting slots, center-on-center, it's going to measure right on 2". That's going to be the same for both sets. Then outside slot to outside slot, center-on-center, is going to right on 4". Now to go ahead and go over the overall measurements of the light. The overall length is going to give us a measurement of right around 8".
The overall width is going to give us a measurement of 2-7/8". The overall depth is going to measure about 2-13/16". This is SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. The wiring design is going to include a white wire for your ground wire. It's got a ring terminal on there. It's going to feature a two-way, molded connector.
The wiring design, this is called a plug and go molded plug. It's going to provide a nice, watertight connection to the electrical harness. We're going to go ahead and hook this up to our external power source. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. Again, mounting hardware is included. Simply just going to make our ground connection. Then we'll make our connections over here. This is going to be the tail light function of the light. Sends out a nice, consistent signal. When we apply our brakes, you can see how it brightens up, sending out an even brighter signal. It's also going to provide that same function when we activate our turn signals. That's going to do it for today's review of part number ST26RPG. This is the Optronics Over 80" Rectangular Submersible Trailer Light for the right-hand side of your trailer. .

I recently purchased new trailer lights for my bass boat trailer. They came on time, very well packaged, and fit my trailer perfectly. I will consider them for all of my future trailer needs.
delivery was prompt. shipment packaging was very good to secure the purchase. I will install it in the next couple of weeks. not that they needed to, but checked the sealed light cover screws to be tight. this is what my failure was in the first place. I bought a new trailer and after one season this sealing cover failed. so far so good.

Arrived with a cracked lens. There was no visible signs of damage to the box but there was a package of heavy hardware containing bolts and nuts for another item in the package. There was very little cushioning in the box. Very poorly packed for shipping.

These products are well made and designed. The wiring harness is well designed for easy attachment and easy to figure out with wire color coding. I have 2 suggestions: more prominent display of Optronics trade name for easier replacement identification and shipping by USPS is not all that great. You are better off to use UPS or FedEx for much quicker delivery. UPS or FedEx take a day or two whereas UPSP takes a week or more.
A complete tail-light kit replacement with the bulb, wow, this was the exact replacement for my pontoon trailer and at a great price! I received it fast, before Memorial Day weekend! Etrailer, you rock! I will definitely be a future customer!

Perfect fit replacement and easy installation (1991 Escort trailer).
Only issue is that I installed LED center light panel that is 20 times brighter (and safer), so I'd consider LED replacements if I had to replace again. Not sure they would be such a simple replacement, though, since sizes differ slightly.

Thank you for your review. If the light seems dull, I recommend to check that the ground connection is connected to a clean bare metal surface of the trailer. It sounds like you are having a classic ground issue.
