Optronics Trailer Lights - MCL11AKB

  • Bright, Efficient Lighting: Two amber LEDs deliver 14.4 lumens while drawing only 0.03 amps at 12.8V.
  • Dual Function Coverage: PC rating provides 180° visibility as both clearance and side marker light.
  • Compact Fit Anywhere: 3/4" round body installs in an 11/16" hole using the included black PVC grommet.
  • Simple Wiring Setup: 2-wire pigtail with black power and white ground makes connections straightforward.
  • Long-Term Dependability: LEDs last 50× longer than incandescent bulbs and carry a lifetime warranty.

Features to know about

Brighter Light, Less Power: Efficient 2-Diode LED Design

This small round light punches above its size with two amber LEDs that deliver clean, bright illumination while drawing just 0.03 amps at 12.8 volts. Compared to incandescent bulbs, these LEDs run cooler, use less power, and last up to 50 times longer. With no filaments or bulb replacements to worry about, it’s a reliable way to boost visibility and efficiency in one go.

Reliable in Wet Conditions: Fully Sealed and Submersible Build

Moisture won’t slow this light down. Its sealed polycarbonate housing and lens protect the diodes and circuit board from water intrusion, making it a dependable choice for trailers that see rain, road spray, or even full submersion. You can count on steady performance without corrosion or shorting issues from water exposure.

Better Visibility From Every Angle: PC-Rated for 180-Degree Coverage

When properly mounted, this PC-rated light throws a 90-degree beam on either side of center for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. That means it’s visible from the front and sides at once, serving as both a clearance light and a side marker light. It’s a compact way to add safety lighting that stands out clearly day or night.

Simple Install Even in Tight Spots: Compact Recessed Mounting

At just 3/4" in diameter and 7/8" deep, this light fits where space is limited. Installation only needs an 11/16" hole for the included black PVC grommet, which holds it snugly in place. The two-wire pigtail keeps wiring straightforward—black for power and white for ground—so setup is quick and frustration-free.

Durable Build That Lasts: Tough Polycarbonate Lens and Housing

The amber lens and housing are made from impact-resistant polycarbonate that holds up to vibration and weather exposure. Backed by a lifetime warranty on the LEDs, this light is built to stay clear, bright, and dependable through years of use.

MCL11akb: Uni-Lite LED Clearance and Side Marker Light w Grommet - Submersible - 2 Diodes - Amber Lens - MCL11AKB Purchased both the AMBER and RED. Very BRIGHT for such a small light. 2 LED, are better then another brand I purchased that had 1 LED that was supposed to be brighter then the 2, it Wasn't. I like this product, used the amber on the front of the truck, used the RED to highlight some spots on the rear of the trailer. High Quality Rubber Gromlet, solid construction, water proof. Which the wires came with connectors. For the money its' a solid purchase.

Very bright and easy to install.

by:

Lights were very easy to install but the hole that you need is a little bigger than per the instructions. I used these lights to make a light kit for my polaris RZR. I am very happy with them.

They are still working great

Bought these for replacements of marker lights on a boat trailer. They fit into the predrilled holes perfectly just as the originals. Sealed the connections with heat shrink and liquid electrical tape. Now it is better than new. These lights are brighter than the trailer originals. Good product.

by:

The LEDs are very bright and a fairly decent size. I intend to use mine as accent lights on the front spoiler apron of my F150. The lights arrived very fast and appear to be of a very high quality. I would buy from this merchant again.

Youre very welcome for the product reviews I was glad to do them. The lights are excellent little marker lights and are noticeably bright. I custom installed them on the front and rear of my 2015 F150 and many times I have been asked by other folks where I got them. I have always pointed them in your direction so may be youve gotten a few sales!

by:

These are bright and work great, put them on two of my trailers and two Toyota Tacoma's. I have even put them on the work trucks.

Great still working

by:

Nice bright lights. I used for corner and fender marker lights on my car trailer. The grommet that comes with these is really stiff and is install once, then impossible to remove without damaging it. I welded short lengths of 1/2" pipe on my trailer where I installed these, ground a little plastic ridge off the OD of the lights and slid them into the pipe just leaving the tip of the light exposed.

Glad to hear you liked them. They are quite bright for their little size.

Just installed recently, Lights mount nicely in a 3/4" hole. Wiring harness about 8 inches. Just as bright or brighter than standard size clearance light. They work and look great. I used them on the front of fender step mounted on a 45 angle . Not sure if they meet "reflector" requirements for corner light but works great as indicator to on-coming traffic (and width marker when looking in mirror) and side marker light. As far as reliability or longevity, don't know, but they appear to be well constructed and sealed lights.

So far theyve still been working well, they are very bright and while towing at night, they light up the yellow line on the highway nicely so I know exactly where my fender is and oncoming traffic can see. I added some yellow reflector tape next to the light so that it meets reflectivity requirements, but as a light, its much smaller, looks cleaner, and less prone to damage than a regular clearnace light

I bought 6 of these lights to put on my jet ski trailer. 4 amber and 2 red. And they are very bright. I highly suggest putting these lights onto your fenders. I put an amber and a red one on each fender in their appropriate locations of course. It helps when backing up into small dimly lit spaces at night...like a driveway The red ones reflect off of whatever you are backing towards...and the amber ones give you an idea how close you are to walls or trees in the side mirrors.

Just be cautious when you put them in. Make sure that in your mind everything is good to go (like, say, the wiring), and you do not need to pull it back out. If you push it in all the way...good luck getting it out. The grommet mushrooms out at the bottom basically locking it in place. If there was a warning about this on this site and I missed it...my bad.

I just made sure I left them all loose until I was done, made sure the wires in the trailer (especially the ground wire) were not getting stretched or pinched, as my trailer is old, and then pressed them all in by hand. I made the mistake of pressing one into my passenger fender...just to see how it looked. This was before I started wiring anything. At this point I was drilling the 3/4" holes...which by the way is very time consuming. I spent a few minutes trying to remove it without damaging the wires. No luck. Not even a little did it want to budge. And I was able to get at it from the top and bottom. Thank goodness this didn't happen with the holes I put into the sides of the trailer because I think I may have had to destroy that light just to get it out and wire it up, which would have sucked because I think that would have pissed me off to the point of not even wanting to use the lights anymore and I would have picked something else out. And that would have been a shame because these lights put out an incredible amount of light.

When you put them in the first time, they give off a sort of weird glow. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me at first.

If you manually adjust the lights to the proper DOT code or whatever, they look good. But, if you rotate them so that they are horizontal instead of vertical, they put out a ton of light towards the street. What I'm saying is...if you want to change it up, you can turn them all horizontal in a matter of seconds, and be lighting up the road...literally...just like the neon vehicle underbody kits of the 90's. Admit it. You thought they were cool too. Now, you can sort of have that, except it's legal.

I went overkill on my small trailer. At least I thought I did. Now, after using it at night, I am more than satisfied. What a huge difference these tiny lights make.

A++++SELLER. WOULD BUY AGAIN. ASSET TO ETRAILER.COM

What a great idea. Follow up with customers to get feedback. That way you can tell if the products are still good or if they have limited lifespans. You get to see if people are still happy and get them thinking about your company again if theyre in the market for more trailer stuff. To answer your question, I do not have them anymore. I sold all of my gear, but do know they are still working. I really liked those small lights. They put out an incredible amount of light and were easy to install once I drilled holes into my old trailer.

by:

Great product, i put these lights on boat tralier for marker lights, much brighter than original ones

by:

Added these lights on my motorcycle trailer, and they are perfect!

by:

VERY FAST SHIPPING, AND GREAT PRICE WILL ORDER AGAIN FROM ETRAILER.COM
THANKS, BOB

by:

They are low profile in the day, and very functional in the night with their brightness. I did not expect them to be this good. I wired them as marker lights for my rear fenders.

by:

I installed these on my home built teardrop. Worked out very well. Total current draw is under 400 mA for all lights.

by:

Extremely happy with customer service and all products I have purchased from etrailer.

Thank you for following up. Your email caught me off guard as many companies dont follow up like this however, I truly do appreciate it and commend etrailer.com and of course you for the awesome customer service! As to the lights themselves, I can gladly say that they are continuing to perform exactly as I had expected they would.

by:

These were designed as a clearance light application and at a great price. I bought them to use as turn signal lamps on my RZR. They are high quality and extremely bright when lit, so they work great for both applications. These guys have great parts at a great price and quick shipping. I would recommend them to anyone needing trailer/boat/lighting. Thanks guys.

The lights are perfect as were the previous ones. I’m always doing projects and these are my go to lights for markers and clearance lights.
