Older incandescent bulbs can’t match this kind of clarity or efficiency. The GloLight Uni-Lite uses white LEDs behind an amber lens to create a bright, solid panel of light that stands out with a smooth, even glow. At 12.8 volts, it draws only 0.052 amps, giving you excellent visibility with minimal power use. The two LEDs are built on a durable SMT circuit board that handles shock, heat, and vibration, so you get long-lasting performance without dealing with fragile filaments or burned-out bulbs.
If your trailer ever sees water or rough weather, this light is ready for it. The housing and lens are sonically sealed into one waterproof unit that keeps water from reaching the diodes or wiring. That sealed design makes it completely submersible, so it’s reliable for trailers that get dunked at the ramp or see heavy rain. You don’t have to worry about corrosion or flickering—just a steady, bright light every time you hook up.
Visibility isn’t just about what’s behind you—it’s also about being seen from the sides. This PC-rated light produces a 90-degree beam to either side of its centerline for a full 180 degrees of coverage. When mounted properly, it works as both a clearance and side marker light so other drivers can see your trailer from straight on or off to the side. That extra illumination adds confidence when towing at night or in low-light conditions.
Tight spaces are no problem here. Measuring just 3/4" in diameter and 7/8" deep, this recessed-mount light installs neatly into your trailer surface using the included grommet. You’ll just need a 3/4" hole for mounting. The three-wire pigtail uses 0.180 male bullet connectors for quick hookup—covering ground, tail light, and turn signal connections for a clean setup that looks good and stays secure.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the GloLight Uni-Light LED amber clearance or side marker light. This small round trailer light can function as both a clearance and side marker light when properly mounted. It also functions as a supplemental turn signal. Now the Glow Light lens creates a solid light pattern with a smooth appearance. It is sealed and waterproof when it comes with the construction which makes it completely submersible. Durable surface inaudible 00:00:30 technology when it comes to the construction of the LED circuit board. That really helps better with stand shock, moisture and vibration.
Also allows for improved heat distribution and an overall thinner construction. Now this is an LED system. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. The last longer, burn brighter and they're more efficient. With LEDs you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments. We're looking a a durable polycarbonate housing and acrylic lens.
It's a recessed mount installation with the included grommet.Your installation area requires a 3/4 inch diameter hole. Three wire pigtail which includes your power lead, ground wire and the supplemental turn signal. So the wire leads come with the .180 male bullets on them. If you don't want those you can actually cut those off, strip back the wiring and hard-wire if needed. It is Department of Transportation compliant. It's PC rated.
Internally it has two diodes. The overall dimensions, it's a 3/4 inch diameter light that measures about 7/8 inch deep. A power drill at 1.8 volts is 0.52 amps. And we're going to go and hook it up to power. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it.
The white wire is our ground wire. The black wire is for the power and then red is for that supplemental turn signal function. So I'll go through it with the overhead lights on. So you can see how that signal output increases a little bit when that turn signal's activated. We'll turn the lights off so you can see it in a low light setting. It sends out a very bright consistent signal.Again, internally it has two diodes so the multi diode design really helps to optimize the overall light output. When we activate our turn signals you can see how that signal output increases which definitely makes it more visible indicating the turn signal function.Optronics also puts a lifetime warranty on their LEDs. That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics GloLight Uni-Light LED amber clearance or side marker light.
Ratings & Reviews
They have been good put them on our boat trailer and still lighting up even when the taillights didn’t last from another company
I would like to award more than 3 stars for this product but I have recently had issues with a few of these lights burning out. Normally, they are dependable so maybe I got a bad lot of lights during my last purchase. However, I DO like these glow lights as they are very bright and noticeable even in the daytime. That said, you would think that as LEDs go they would last a long time and I do have several in use that HAVE lasted, but I also have had several that burned out fairly quickly. I am happy to report that etrailer has stood behind the manufacturer Optronics lifetime warranty and replaced the defective lights. My advice for anyone considering using these lights is to employ them in an easy-to-access application so that if it becomes necessary to change out a defective light, you will not have difficulty in accessing the defective light(s).
Surprisingly bright for the size, which is nice. I was worried because in the product photos it almost appears white when lit. In person it appears slightly white when lit if you are within a few feet, but after you get back 5-10 feet it just looks red, which was a relief. These will be auxiliary brake lights on vintage motorcycle saddlebags and I think they'll work great; too small for a primary brake light but will be nice for redundancy. Haven't installed them yet so we'll see how the mounting gasket works out; may have to use a dab of silicone to make sure it doesn't come loose but we'll see.
I would give this product a 5-star rating but unfortunately, I have had a number of these lights burn out and they are in difficult-to-access locations which makes them a hassle replacing them when they burn out. Even though they are lifetime-guaranteed by Optronics that doesn't do anything for the annoyance factor when you see one burned out and replace it, only to have another one burn out shortly thereafter. I originally bought these lights because they guarantted for life AND were very bright, even in daytime. It seems that the older version of these lights were more dependable than what they are producing now. My suggestion is that you don't hardwire them into an application-install them using individual plugs so WHEN IT BECOMES NECESSARY to replace them you will not have to keep cutting and splicing your harness each time. Other than that, they are good lights.
This is a tremendous wheel! The 6" wide wheel is rated at 2835 lbs. Remember your rig is only as good as its weakest link, so a pair of these would be good for 5670 lbs. Overkill on a 3500lbs axle? Maybe, but definitely gives peace of mind, and the price is comparable. They even ship with the high pressure metal stems installed. The offset is neutral, so the difference from a 5" is only a half inch back spacing increase. Be sure to check your clearances from hub face to frame, but my Dexter 95" axle has plenty of clearance from the 80" frame. eTrailer has been the best vendor, period! I originally needed these wheels in April 2016 to replace the truck wheels I had, but the 5-on-5" wheels were not a carried item. Within days the team added them to their product line and had them shipped.
These newer Vesper wheels are even better than the originals from 2016. Thanks eTrailer team for another great experience!
We installed these clearance lights on a 16-foot tandem axle trailer a year ago that is primarily used for hauling firewood. We use it in the forest and most of the road miles are gravel. Since the lights are not housed in a recessed light fixture, we made one of steel pipe with the leading edge extended ¼ inch to deflect flying road rocks and running through brush in the forest. All the wiring under the trailer is in conduit and all the wiring is Ancor brand marine grade. Had we installed the lights as demonstrated in a picture on the etrailer.com web site, the lights would have been damaged quickly in our service conditions. The Led lights are working fine although they run a bit hotter than preferred which may lead to a shortened life. Tip: Never use copper clad aluminum automotive wire from China on trailers as aluminum is the sacrificial metal for cathodic corrosion and the wire conductors will soon disappear into powder.
All of your products were of very good quality and fit perfectly the first time. Thank you for being genuine. I especially appreciate you selling Dutton Lainson products, as I grew up in Hastings, NE. They are a very good manufacturer.
Perfect replacement the high clearance running lights on a 2019 Newmar Dutch Star. Easy replacement, super bright. !
They work great and are very bright. I did notice proflex sealant kind of melted the plastic around it
So far it’s working
Light works great. Slight difference from the factory cleat lens but nobody would notice it unless you point it out. Happy with the quality of the light. Long enough leads on the light so you don’t have to struggle with it.
Nice and bright. Works great.
Have not hooked up yet. Would like to see retaining nut on end.
Works great for my UTV signal lights!
Not very good turn signal it has very little blinking so not warning people next to trailer.
Perfect fit on new Jeep fenders. This was the only site that had this size light with both Marker and Turn lights.
Excellent to have a marker light in a 3 wire to put a blinker on the fender of the trailer too.
Bought this to replace the front corner markers/running lights in my GM truck. Since the OEM setup combines the marker and signal function into one filament, I couldn’t just plug in an LED “bulb”. I trimmed the housing to fit the rubber grommet for this uni-lite and with some wiggling got it to fit nicely. Rewired the truck to provide separate running light and signal wires and everything has been working great.
I just started using them. They work gr eat.
This is a fantastic little light. I've bought off brands before and the wire is so thin you know it's not going to last very long. The wires on this light are normal gauge (about 16g) and very easy to solder and connect. Very confident it will hold up to abuse of off roading.
And it is bright! I use these for marker lights and turn signals. No issues seeing them during the day.
