Question:
What size is the hole for the 2 grommets and what do you use to seal between the grommet and the base material 1/8 fiberglass in my application? I assume you place the grommet and push the light into the grommet, correct? Do you need a lubricant for setting the grommet or light?

You would need need to drill a hole that is 11/16 of an inch in diameter to install this Sealed, Uni-Lite Mini LED Side Marker and Clearance Light, part # MCL11AKB.
If you wanted to use a gasket sealer you could use Loctite RTV 598 High-Performance Silicone Gasket Maker, part # LT37467.
You are correct, you would want to put the grommet in first and then push the light in through the front until it is seated all the way in.
If you found it difficult to install the light into the grommet and needed something as a lubricant, I would recommend using a liquid hand or dish soap.
