It sounds like you're trying to install the Uni-Lite LED Clearance and Marker Light # MCL11AKB, so you'll want to make sure that you have a 11/16" hole in the desired location. The grommet on this light should simply slip into the hole as long as it's that size (or relatively close), since the grommet is rubber it will compress a bit.
