This Ventline Ventadome roof vent lets fresh air in and hot air out without needing power. The hand-crank design makes it easy to open and close the wedge-shaped, smoke-colored dome from inside. It’s a simple way to keep air circulating in enclosed spaces so things don’t feel stuffy or overheated. The translucent lid also lets in some natural light, brightening up the interior without being harsh.

The aerodynamic dome is made of durable polypropylene that stands up to sun and rain. It mounts to a galvanized steel roof flange that won’t rust or corrode, so you can count on it to hold up season after season. When closed, the vent sits low at 4-1/2" above the roof, and it extends to 10-3/4" when fully open.
This vent fits the common 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" rough opening found on most setups, so replacing an old vent is straightforward. The included Polar White interior garnish fits roofs 1-7/8" to 3" thick and has a 2-1/8" leg length. Just mount with #8 screws and seal it up using an installation kit such as #344270KITW (sold separately).
The built-in screen keeps out debris and pests while letting air flow freely. When it’s time to clean, the screen snaps out easily so you can rinse it off and pop it back in. The manual crank system needs no wiring or batteries—just reliable operation every time you use it.

After 1 year I am still extremely satisfied with the vent. It is functioning as it should and I have had no problems with it at all.

RTV Silicone makes for an excellent gasket material if you are mounting flat surfaces. Follow the perimeter all the way around, encircle the hardware holes, and attach the vent. Once it cures, it creates a gasket between the two surfaces. For extra waterproofing, you can come back with silicone caulk and cover the heads of the screws and run a perimter bead around the vent.
