The Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent, V2092SP-29, is adjustable for roof thicknesses from 1-7/8 inches to 3 inches. If your roof is thinner than this you would need to add a trim ring like a piece of 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch plywood, with a 14 x14 inch hole cut in it, to the inside of the trailer roof. This will also give you a better mounting situation for the vent.
You might want to use an Installation Kit, item # 344270KITW, to complete the installation of this vent. I linked a video that you may find helpful.
If you find that the interior garnish for the vent does not sit flush with the ceiling or trim piece for proper installation, you may need to trim the garnish down a bit to get the proper fit.
