Are the moving parts on the V211OSP-24 metal vent any better than the cheap crap they put on the plastic vents ?

The Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent part # V2110SP-24 has a metal lid. It has the same internal components as all of the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vents such as part # V2092SP-29 which has a plastic lid. The only difference is the lid.
