Great lock, needed a little modification to fit in the Trimark footprint, had to remove some metal off the web below the deadbolt latch, needed this on my 2002
Coachman, some other motorhome models may not need this, other than that fit just fine, works slick as a whistle.
The Bauer Motorhome Door Lock is built to last. I knew it would be since I've owned its twin for many years without ever a latch-related problem. It's been on a horse trailer changing room door stored outdoors. It has opened easily and never showed any signs of spring weakening or sluggish handle operation, nor - incredibly - did it ever show any signs of corrosion.
I cannot leave this review without mentioning that I bought it from etrailer. They were excellent. The lock arrived early but the tracking was tremendous. Each person who handled the order posted their picture and told what part they played in filling the order. Amy, our customer service representative, even add a short biography. What nice touches etrailer added to our purchase experience!!
The locking rod was to long which prevented the lock to slide into the door opening. Ended removing the lock cover and removing locking rod. Then the lock would slide into the opening, then reinstall locking rod and cover.
Thanks Rochelle for helping me order the door lock. It was easy to install, too, and works great!

High quality item, a little tight fitting but with some tweeking got it to fit. One thing I was wondering is there were no instructions included.
I'm not sure if it's the specific lock I received, but it is a bit difficult to lock and unlock, not sure how to explain it, but it doesn't feel smooth even after I sprayed a bit of wd40 in it. It works but not like the orginal lock that was on the RV. It is the exact same model as the one that was on the RV brand new.
Great product seems heavier built then original equipment. Fast shipping just as promised.

The door lock has been working perfectly for the year Ive owned used it.
This lock does fit a 2017 Winnebago Fuse. It cost me $20 to return a product that I was assured would fit my vehicle.
I have dealt with etrailer several times now and each time they have met my expectations and then some. They are a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a product that they carry to order it through them; you won’t be disappointed.

Part fit exactly in place of old latch,if you didn't know it was a replacement one would never know,very nice product at a great price!
Customer service was very helpful over the phone with helping me find the replacement door latch with deadbolt. Softouch 1997 3 horse trailer. Order arrived in about five days took about 10 minutes to install.

Perfect, no issues.
This was for a horse trailer door. The latch had two pins that stuck out. There was no way it would fit with the pins. When the old one was removed we saw where those pins were cut off. So we cut off the pins on the new one and installed it. It fit perfectly then.

First the good news... This lock was nearly a drop-in replacement for the OEM lock on my RV door. All it took was a tiny bit of filing, and the lock fit into place neatly and snugly. Truth is, I didn't even replace the existing striker plate, as the lock functioned fine with the old one. I've been using it for around a year, and the new lock works fine, and shows no signs of wear. Then some bad news... Unfortunately, and despite the drop in fit, the inside unlatch lever on the new lock is in a slightly different place than the old one, resulting in insufficient clearance through the opening in my inside screen door to (conveniently) reach the latch, and no way to pull the door closed from the inside. An unsatisfying workaround was provided by drilling a hole in the new latch and attaching a short "leash" to pull the door closed. This proved a hassle, and since we don't use it anyway, I ended up just removing the inside screen door completely. I suppose I could make another "workaround" by modifying the screen door, or just buying a new one, but either is more trouble than it's worth.
Product fit well and was easy to install. Used on a 2019 forest river forester.
Perfect fit. Easy install. Only issue is hard to grab handle inside for average size hands/fingers.

This is a quality lock. When you look at the innards the internal cover plate is attached with screws not blind rivets. This means that if there is a mishap and you need to work the lock from the inside you can without destroying the lock BRAVO Bauer and BRAVO etrailer for selling quality stuff!!!!

The photo prior to purchase did not have the extra pins so we had to cut those off. Otherwise perfect fit and easy install
Carol, the lock after a little adjusting fit my door opening, but still had a little trimming and tapping to do before it sat square in the hole. it only has the deadbolt from the inside the latch lock it only engaged from the outside of the door. You Got the lock Here and got us back on the road! Thank you Roy
