I purchased a replacement fan for my 2005 Komfort trailer. It has the original roof. Should I use butyl tape or putty tape for the installation?

When installing a new roof vent like the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2092SP-29 I recommend using butyl tape like what is included in the Installation Kit # 344270KITW. Butyl won't dry out over time like traditional putty and it will help to create a better seal between the vent and roof.
