Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent 14 1/4X14 1/4. Shipping was prompt, product arrived intact. Had to get the #10 stainless screws to install (expected them to be included) plus the butyl tape and lap sealant which I knew from the description I'd need to buy seperately. The install went without any issues. I was expecting it to fit with no trimming but ended up needing to trim each corner on my 14 1/2 inch opening. My roof thickness was right at 1 inch so needed to trim down the trim strip. How will it do in a driving rain? To be continued.....

Hey John. When are you taking the camper out on the road again? Hopefully you will always have blue skies but I'm sure the vent will keep everything dry :)

This review is post-install vs 1 year as I couldnt find how to just edit my original review. The screen clip system is really poor. The screen frame is a very light, flexible plastic and just barely is held in by the clip pegs. I expect this to fail and I will likely need to figure out a better way to hold that screen in place. Should be a 3-star rating. I also never checked to see if replacement screens are available.

I have yet to take the rig out for any substantial use since installing the vents. Their initial operation seemed good. Ill need to use the vents in adverse weather rain to really evaluate.

by:
Replaced my 8yr old faded & cracked vent. DIY installation, matched up great with my existing fan & open close dial. Looks so good I had replace my skylights for that brand new look up top.
by:
uninstalled yet but great quality and clarity of operation.

This was a great vent for my family's pop up camper that was passed down the family to me. The vent cover in the middle of the camper was broke into peices and was covered up for many years. No damage was down from the rain so I was thankful. This vent is great and It was real simple to install. And works perfectly and is for sure brand new in the box. Note: it did not come with screws, so you will need to get those along with your caulk tape and caulking of your choice. The instructions calls for size #8 screws. I used 1" long self tapping screws which worked perfectly for the job.

Thanks etrailer.com your fast shipping and reasonable prices, which got my camper as good as new now. I will be using you guys from now on, if anymore parts are needed in the future.

This vent is well made and assembly was very easy. Installed with a liberal bead of flex seal caulk and flex seal aerosol as final sealant.
by:
Trailer roof vent was of high quality and was self installed with no problems. Very pleased with etrailer.com.

Plastic cover cracked and disintegrated.

@Leslie Nice! ^___^
by:
Was very pleased with the service and quick response. It got here sooner than promised and have already gotten it installed. It was used in the conversion of an enclosed utility trailer.
by:
Delivery was timely and arrived complete and intact. The Vent dome kit fit perfectly and I was able to install the assembly in a short time with excellent results. I will definitely return to e trailer for future projects.
by:
It's an excellent product. Fit exactly and easy to install
by:
Received the vent faster than expected, installed is and work great! Removed the old vent and installed this unit, fits great and the screen is much better than the old one. Great price, fast delivery, installed easily.
by:
Easy to install ( I highly recommend a good quality elastomeric caulk) the dome is a light weight plastic, had I known I would have spent more money for a heavier fiberglass unit.
by:
Easy installation. Great for daytime light, and ventilation.
by:
I was pleased and surprised when installing the new vent, that it was not only a perfect fit in the opening in the camper roof, but the screw holes in the flange lined up precisely with the holes from the previous unit I had removed! This may be because there is some kind of industry standard on hatch flange layouts, or I just got lucky. But boy, did that make the install simple and fast. I ran out of my Dicor Self-leveling sealant, before getting completely around the unit, but the job is virtually done and the new vent looks great!

Sorry, but the camper has been parked for a long time. But no question, the new vent is fine: no leaks, functions well. Thanks!

by:
I bought this vent to replace the one in my Pace American cargo trailer. The only alteration needed was to trim 1/2 inch off the inside trim, my roof was thinner. I found butyl tape & sealant at Lowes to complete the job. Vent looks great & I like the knob better than the crank, doesn’t stick down to snag stuff.

Great item when covering a roof mounted vent! Replaced the vent on my enclosed car trailer and this as a higher level of protection. With this MaxAir II you can leave the vent open when warmer.

Like the products as much as before.

by:
Ruby, my 25'Class C, was aging and the roof vents, made brittle by constant sun, were chipping in the wind as I drove. I replaced all three roof vents and couldn't be more pleased with the product. Easy to install, good quality and Ruby feels new again.
by:
Product quality as described/expected. Concerned about vent opening over time from road vibration (single axle trailer that seems to eat roof vents that open).
by:
This is a cheaply made product. The plastic will weather and crack/shatter in just a few years. Unfortunately, replacing anything broken results in breaking the rest of the fragile plastic. The metal frame seems ok, but it is riveted together so disassembly is needlessly difficult. The unit I received was missing some screws and the screen had a tear, but I bought it to repair an already installed vent of the same, so I didn't need them.
by:
I am a Red Cross volunteer responsible for several mobile supply trailers. If or when the skylights are compromised, rain can enter the trailers and ruin the contents. The replacement skylights are easy to install and eliminate the potential for rain/snow or any of the elements from impacting our supplies. The only issue I have with the kits is that the Loctite urethane sealant is rock hard and not useable to seal the skylights to the roof surface. Since we know this, we typically purchase fresh sealant to insure we can complete the installation and sealing in one session since the trailers are remotely distributed throughout our area of responsibility.
by:
Perfect product. Exactly what I needed. Very fast delivery. Loved the how to videos. Installation was a breeze.
by:
Super fast delivery and well packaged. Strong construction and should last for years to come. This is a replacement for another vent damaged by Kansas hail storm. The vent was the perfect fit, easy to install, and has more features. I really like being able to remove the screen for cleaning. I would buy again. KUDOS!

  • Replacement Roof Vent Cover for Lid Marked AS-13M-VDO449 ANS Z26 1
We have had a similar question to this come up and we were able to determine that the number AS-13 M-VDO449 that you listed is stamped on the vent cover part # BVD0449-A01. If you are looking for the entire fan setup and not just the cover you would want the part # V2092SP-28 for a white lid or part # V2092SP-29 for a smoked lid. The smoked lid would allow more light in.

  • Recommended Roof Vent that Can Be Installed Above a Shower
You technically can use a powered roof vent like the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-06401K however it is not recommended because the moisture can ruin the electronics. So for above your shower, I recommend going with a manual roof vent like the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2092SP-28. This will do the same thing as the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof vent but is manually operated instead of powered.
