Replacement cover slides over Bearing Buddy to keep grease contained and off of your tires and wheels.
Features:
To prevent overfilling, Bearing Buddies have an automatic pressure relief feature that allows the grease to come out through the Bearing Buddy instead of out the grease seal on the back of the hub. The bra over the Bearing Buddy contains the grease, keeping if off of the trailer tires and wheels.

Hey guys, it's Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement bra for the Bearing Buddies. Now, this is going to be the larger size. This is outside to outside dimensions, here are going to be two and 1/8 of an inch. These are just spacers to keep them in shape. Generally, it's going to be, as you can see here, a hollow cap. Now, this is going to be a vinyl cover.
You're probably used to seeing, especially if you're looking for the replacement or maybe you've bought a new trailer and these we're missing on it. Basically, your Bearing Buddy sticks on the end of your hub. This is just going to slide over the end of it. It keeps everything contained, and it's going to help keep any excess grease contained within rather than it getting that rotational energy and slinging out on your tires. Now, as far as the models it's going to fit, again, the key thing to know is if you measure your Bearing Buddy and it's near two and 1/8 of an inch outside to outside, this is going to be the replacement. So that covers the 1980, 1980SS, 1980A, 1980A-SS, 1938, 1938SS, 1968 model, 1968SS, 2047, 2047SS, 2080, and 2080SS.It's going to be an excellent way to keep that grease from being slung around, and it also keeps moisture from getting in there.
It keeps dirt from getting in there, and it just helps to ensure your Bearing Buddies are going to last for a very long time and keep your bearings in there packed full of grease. There's also going to be instructions here, as far as how to check the levels. So if you don't know exactly how a Bearing Buddy works, it spells it all out right there for you exactly how to just push the piston. If it doesn't rock, add a little grease. If it does, you're good to go.But all in all, just be an excellent way to get those protected and also protect grease from being flung out all over your wheels and tires.

Packaging was crushed in shipping due to being shipped together in the same box as a 50 lbs bike rack.
Something so simple was not available locally so after 4 stores I found exactly what I needed on the website. The plastic dust caps fit perfectly and really inexpensive even with shipping.
Very satisfied!

All is well, no complaints.
Perfect replacement at a good price
Product delivered was correct and well within the delivery time. It fit the bearing perfectly and the grease is contained, no longer spattered on the wheel. Thanks for the prompt service.

the product has performed well over the year. Ordering was easy and the initial help from customer service was friendly and accurate.
Caps arrived in good order and fit perfectly. Better covers than the older ones which had gotten hard due to age. The new ones will be easier to remove and reinstall.
I could not find these caps locally and the Etrailer price was good even with shipping costs.

The caps were a direct replacement for my old original caps that were aging badly. After a year they are functioning and still looking good.
The bearing buddies work well - they keep the grease off the wheels and stay in place. A well made product at a good price and etrailer customer service and communication was excellent. The product was back ordered - they gave me instant updates and kept me in the loop every step of the way. Can't beat that for customer care!

Everything still running great - still in place and still doing their job!
Looks like a great idea. Seems like a high quality part.
Figured I'd double up on protection replacing the rubber grease caps and putting these over the whole assembly...but... they are too large of a diameter to fit the bearing buddy on my trailer. They would absolutely spin off the 1st travel mile.
Must be there are multiple sizes?
...C'est la vie....I am sure that the new grease cap plugs alone will provide plenty of protection, as per the original equipment on the trailer.

These are designed specifically for use with Bearing Buddies that fit a 1.98 inch bore diameter and have an outside diameter of 2-1/8 inches.
I needed some replacement bras to go over the "Bearing Buddy" greasers on my boat trailer. I could not find just the covers locally but etrailer had them What I appreciated the most was the ease of navigating their website. Click-click, and they were on their way!

Excellent !!
I use stainless steel bearing buddies on my boat trailer. When you purchase the caps for the bearing buddies, be careful to make sure the cap is appropriate for your model of bearing buddy. As long as you do this, you will be fine, and the cap will fit tightly on the bearing buddy.
I learned this the hard way by ordering caps that were just a bit too lose, and the caps kept falling off. Now that I have the right caps, they stay in place as they should.

I purchased the caps that go over the open end of the bearing buddies. We use a hoist to lift our boats off their trailers and put them in the water. The trailers never go in the water, as happens when you ramp-launch. So, we never test out how well the caps work when submersed. However, they are working great in keeping out rain. Thanks.
Great price and fast shipping. Qqill definitely use again.

Working great !
Quality replacements at a good price
All of these are working out really well. I especially like the Fulton spare tire carrier, mounted on the trailer tongue towards the front---gives about 1.5 inches of clearance between the boat and the mounted spare tire. The adjustable height of the mounting arm was really a nice feature for my application. I've use Lubrimatic marine grease for years, and expect long life from this brand. The Bow Stop has the perfect angle to receive the bow of my 1970 classic Glastron Futura V 153, and so far appears to be non-marring to the finish of the boat. Very happy with all of these items!

The bearing buddy caps fit perfectly and perform their intended purpose well-keeping dirt out, but still can be easily removed to allow access to the lube fitting to pump grease into the bearings. They are holding up quite well after a year of service in and out of the water.
Just what I wanted
Arrived quickly, easy installation, followed up to confirm my satisfaction. All around a good experience.
Very good product! Easy to order through etrailer.com. Have ordered other items in the past which went well so I ordered from them again.

Perfect replacement for my boat trailer
Second set if these I've used. First was on my utility trailer years ago. This set is on my home built log splitter. The first time I towed the splitter I suffered from a bad inner seal that spewed grease all inside the one wheel rim. I was 150 miles from home, deep in the woods. Had to pull the wheel and repack the axle with grease to make it home. Found a welding spall on the axle that chewed up the seal. Removed the spall, polished the seal surface and put on a new seal. Then I added the Bearing Buddy's to make sure I kept things lubricated in the future. They do the job and provide peace of mind.
I have been working on a boat and trailer that I got in a government surplus auction. The trailer is a triple axle and needed quite a bit of work. I replaced one axle and the brake lights. I am in the process of replacing all of the brakes, tires, bearings and seals. I am about half way done with the trailer and so far I have been very happy with the parts I have received from etrailer. I have not been able to road test them yet but installation has been great. I intend on getting a majority of the parts I need to finish the project from etrailer. The video overviews and installation instructions have been very helpful. Looking forward to sharing more pictures when the project is done.
I was gifted a 14 ft. aluminum boat and trailer from my brother in law, which was over 50 years old. I wanted to redo both and bring life back into them. Etrailer has been there to help me achieve my dream with multiple quality parts that I needed. Their help over the phone when needed was outstanding and professional. Products shipped and arrived within just a few days. Thank you Etrailer for helping me make this project come to life.

The trailer looks fantastic, Keith! It's so awesome to hear stories like yours. Is there anything else you need to do to the trailer/boat or are you all finished?
