Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at these Dexter Hydraulic Driver and Passenger Side Drum Brakes with Parking Brakes. Now, these Dexter hydraulic drum brakes are going to be the complete replacement brake assembly for the driver and passenger side of your trailer with a 3,500 pound axle. And these are designed to fit a 10-inch in diameter by 2 1/4-inch wide brake drum, and they're going to work with hydraulic surge brake systems. Now, one of the main things that's going to set these assemblies apart is going to be the parking brake levers that you see here on these assemblies, Along with giving you the normal hydraulic braking while traveling forward, these are going to allow the trailer to have additional holding power when it's parked.
So that's going to make the parking brake feature on these assemblies an important consideration when determining whether these are going to be the right replacements for your particular trailer. These are uni-servo or single-servo brake assemblies. And because they come as a complete assembly, you're going to be replacing the brake shoes, the springs, the wheel cylinder, and the related brake hardware together, rather than replacing those worn components individually. By the way, most new assemblies as these, do have stickers letting you know which side is which. So we have the right hand here, we have the left hand here.
But if you come across an assembly and it doesn't have a sticker on it, and you're wondering which side is which, there's a real easy way to determine that. So taking a look at our left, or driver's side assembly here real quick. If you look for the short brake pad, the short brake pad is always going to point to the front. This is the primary pad. And then the longer pad is always going to point to the back.
So being that this short pad is pointing to the front, you can see that that's going to be the driver's side or the left hand side. So that's a real easy way to discover which brake assembly is for which side, if there are no labels. So again, this is going to be for both assemblies, but if you're only needing one or the other, we have you covered on that front as well. You can get the driver's side by itself or the passenger's side, and you can just take the appropriate part number that you see there on your screen, pop that in the search field of our website. That will take you to that one that you're looking for, and you can add that to your order.
By the way, if you need help with installation, maybe you're not too crazy about doing the installation yourself, on this product page underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our Installer Locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that Locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to install these for you. Well again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.

The Brake kits fit and function great. The braking on my trailer has been and still is a year later just like when it was new.
