The Revolver X2 blends the strength of a hard cover with the clean look of a soft one. Its 1/4" thick, aircraft-grade aluminum slats are linked together for flexibility but stay tough enough to hold up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight. A textured black vinyl layer gives it a smooth finish while shielding the metal from UV rays, impacts, and weather. When locked, the cover creates a solid barrier that can’t be cut through like a typical soft vinyl top—keeping gear inside safe when the tailgate is closed.

When you need to carry tall or bulky cargo, you don’t have to take the cover off. Just pull the release cord and roll it forward. The aluminum slats roll up evenly behind the cab, held by sturdy nylon straps and plastic buckles that keep it secure on the road. Four rubber bumpers cushion the bundle so it doesn’t scuff the cab. Because it mounts inside the bed rails, you can still use stake pockets or add accessories like tie-down anchors or racks.

Many covers sit high above the bed, but this one installs nearly flush with the rails for a sleek, integrated look. Matte black rubber seals run along the sides, cab rail, and tailgate to help keep water out and block dust from creeping in. The design not only keeps cargo protected but also cuts down wind drag for better aerodynamics.

Opening or closing the X2 is straightforward. To close, just roll it out and press down on the rear slat—the latches automatically lock along both sides. The cover secures tight when the tailgate shuts, so there’s no Velcro or snaps to fuss with. To open, drop the tailgate and pull either of the corner release cords, which disengage both latches at once. The side rails rotate to release the cover smoothly every time.

Mounting the Revolver X2 doesn’t require any drilling. The aircraft-grade aluminum rails clamp to the inside of the bed sides, with bolts securing the front hinge rail at the cab. Slotted brackets, pre-installed spacers, and shims keep everything aligned without trial and error. Once tightened down, the cover rolls smoothly and seals evenly from front to back.

Hi Laura - I am still pleased with my BAK bed cover. I dont like it quite as well as the previous version I had on my other 2013 Nissan Frontier truck which got stolen, hence the new cover, but I am still pleased with the product. The new cover doesnt roll or latch quite as smoothly as the old one, but it still works well. They also slightly changed the clips for anchoring the rolled up cover, and I find them harder to clip in and maintain tension on the strap, but again they do work. Thanks for following up.

Its still holding up well and it looks as good as it did the day I installed it. I have no regrets about making this purchase.

My judgment has not changed. This cover is still excellent. If I ever get a different truck, this will be among my first accessory purchases.

Well, not so happy with the product. The carpeting fell off on the underside of the cover. Also the right side of the cover towards the tailgate shrank. Its been a few months since I started to have those issues and should of contacted you earlier for warranty. Hopefully its not too late for a warranty claim.

I am sorry to hear that this cover is not working out for you. Would you be able to send a picture of where the vinyl is separating from the aluminum?
