BAK Revolver Hard Roll-Up Tonneau Covers and Compatible Ladder Racks for 2016 GMC Sierra 1500

Question:

on a gmc sierra 1500 58inch bed how tall is the rolled up back? trying to put cross bars over top on top of 3inch rails.

The BAK Revolver X4 and X2 Hard Roll Up Tonneau Covers, when they are rolled up to the back of the cab window, will be approximately 9-inches in diameter for the 5-1/2-foot bed version, about 10-inches for the 6-1/2-foot bed version and about 12-inches for the 8-foot bed version. My contact at BAK who provided these figures said these are approximate dimensions only.

The Revolver covers for the 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 are as follows:

5-1/2-foot bed models can use X2 # BAK39120
6-1/2-foot bed models can us X2 # BAK39121
8-foot bed models can use X2 # BAK39122

If you're looking for a ladder rack that is compatible with a Revolver X2 cover we have confirmed that the Thule TracRac SR Sliding racks will work fine with the BAK Revolver covers. The SR Sliding ladder racks for each bed length are as follows:

5-1/2-foot bed models can use SR racks # TH43002XT-782 and # TH43002XT-782EX
6-1/2-foot bed models can use SR racks # TH43002XT-781 and # TH43002XT-781EX
8-foot bed models can use SR racks # TH43002XT-780 and # TH43002XT-780EX

The racks with the EX in the part number include a 3rd over-the-cab cantilever extension.
