Comparing OEM Tonneau Cover REV for 2017 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab Short Box to BAK Revolver X2

Question:

I'm looking at the OEM Hard Rolling tonneau cover and toolbox by REV for my 2017 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab Short Box 5 foot 8 inch. I have also seen the BAK Revolver X2 which looks the same. What is the difference and is it worth the additional cost for the OEM?

I did some research and reached out to my contact at BAK to get some information. They confirmed the REV brand is a private label of basically the same products in the BAK tonneau cover line of products. They have both a GM and a Ford line that is private labeled so the vehicle manufacturer can have their OEM option.

For your 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab with the 5' 8" bed, the BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau Cover - Roll Up - Aluminum and Vinyl # BAK39120 is the correct fit and the similar cover to the OEM option. Then for the toolbox the BAKBox 2 Collapsible Truck Bed Toolbox # BAK92120 is the comparable option. Because they are made by the same company, the name printed on them is the big difference. They come with the exact same warranty and will install/fit in the same exact way.
