Getting traction when snow piles up shouldn’t mean freezing your hands. These chains automatically tighten themselves as you drive, so there’s no crawling around or stopping to readjust. Just stretch them over your tires, drive off, and they’ll snug up on their own. When you stop, the tensioners release for quick removal—perfect when you roll back onto dry pavement.

Snow-packed roads and light ice call for steady traction, not the jerky feel some chains cause. The diamond pattern layout spreads the grip across the tire for constant contact, while the 3.2 mm square links dig in for control without the rough bounce of ladder-style chains. The result is a smoother, more stable ride, especially on paved winter roads.
Metal chains can be tough on wheels, but the built-in anti-scratch bumpers on these Snox Pro chains act like cushions. They shield your rims from contact with the metal links, so you can drive with confidence knowing your wheels stay protected from scuffs and scrapes.
If your vehicle doesn’t leave much room behind the tires, these SAE Class S-rated chains are made for that. They meet the clearance requirements for passenger vehicles with restricted space, so you get the traction you need without interference in the wheel well.
Winter roads are hard on gear, but these chains are built from nickel-manganese alloy steel that stands up to rust and wear. The metal’s strength and corrosion resistance mean they’ll handle snow and road slush season after season. Plus, they come packed in a durable storage case to keep everything ready for the next storm.

These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Having used them but a few times on a vehicle that surely doesn’t belong in the snow I’m amazed. Not by the performance so much but again in the ease of installation. As to performance, chains are chains in that they work as they should. Cable traction devices do not and do not last for beans. It’s perhaps why you see so many pitched off onto the road or someone off the side trying to unwrap them from their axle. These not only do the job but adjust immediately, stay on and take but a few minutes to remove.

These chains have held up really well. Got the installation process, in stormy snowy conditions, down to 5 minutes or less per wheel. I dont like to rely on the self-tensioning feature so I release the servo and tug on the cable to make sure that the cable is retracted and tightened as much as possible and then I let the self-tensioning feature do its job when I move the vehicle. These chains have gotten me out of my street and to work before the plow comes through the street. Definitely recommend them!

That is a shame to hear that the clip for the tensioner was not unlatching for you. I have gotten in contact with some of our install team to check this out, and we have found that there are times when the red notch on the tensioner will get stuck due to the amount of tension. So what you can do, is squeeze the tensioner to release some pressure off of the red latch. Then push the red button to release the chains.

You mentioned that they were not a fit for your snow tires. I have a few questions that I would like to ask. What is the size of the tires? Would you be able to send a picture on how they do not fit? Did you reach out to Pewag?
Do you have a question about this Tire Chain?

In the year that I have owned these, I have used them exactly once and I can say that under conditions it can be a bit tricky and at times frustrating. I suspect that additional installations on the side of the road will improve the time and patience it takes to install them. Removal was fairly simple, but putting them back into the case can be a challenge - Do note, they will scuff up your rims, but that can be polished out. One key take away: Everythings easier on a dry run literally dry... lol
