When the road turns to ice, these V-Bar links really dig in. The V-shaped studs cut through packed snow and ice to keep traction where smooth links would just spin. The ladder pattern gives steady forward movement, so whether you’re starting from a stop or holding a line on a steep grade, the chains bite in and keep you moving with confidence.

The ladder-style cross chains are built for driving in deep snow or ice where traction is scarce. This pattern spreads the grip evenly across the tread so you get controlled starts and stops, even when pushing through wet slush or frozen ruts. The 0.218" (5.5 mm) low-carbon steel links deliver the strength to handle heavy snow without twisting or breaking.
Getting chains snug doesn’t have to be a pain. These chains come with integrated cam tighteners, so once they’re draped over the tire, a quick twist with the included wrench pulls them tight. You can add rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately) for even more tension if you need it. The cam system saves time and keeps the fit secure mile after mile.
Every link is made from tough low-carbon steel, giving the chains solid durability for winter driving. The steel resists bending and wear, so they’ll hold up through repeated use in rugged snow conditions. A reusable canvas bag lets you store them neatly and keeps the chains ready for the next storm.
One pair of these chains fits a wide range of tire sizes from 15" up to 20". That versatility makes them a reliable backup when the weather turns bad. With a 30 mph maximum speed rating and proven traction design, they’re built to handle winter’s worst without slowing you down.
These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Adam: Hi everyone. Adam, etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan chain, snow tyre chains. So this does have a V bar style link, which is going to be the more aggressive style of your snow tyre chains. This is going to wear down a little bit more than some of your square shaped links, but it is going to give you superior traction to all of those. It may be a little rougher ride, but this is definitely going to get you out of those snowy or icy situations.
So this is going to be a ladder-pattern style tyre chain. Also, it is going to be made of a low carbon steel construction. It's going to last a decently long time and resist against rust and corrosion. Whenever you have these on, it's probably going to be soft on the roads. So having a nice, solid metal is definitely going to help it wear away. So, these do come in a pack of two, which have a decently sturdy canvas bag.
So for your all wheel drive and four wheel drive applications, you can just grab two sets on etrailer.com and it's going to be the same exact installation process on all four of your tyres. So the first thing we're going to want to do is lay out our chains and make sure there's no kinks in our links. Also, something to note, we want to make sure that the V-Bar is going to be facing out away from our tyre, and the open end here is going to be facing out as well. Once all that's done, we can try to grab the middle of our chains and drape them over our tyre. We'll make sure we get it nice and even. So now that we're back here, we're going to take our spare links here and our hook.
We're going to find a chain. I want to do the second closest, and then we're going to go around front and complete the connection. So around front, we're going to take our metal portion here, put it through a link and bend it over like so, it connects it to our spare link here. Now we can take our cam tensioner tool, put it into place and rotate this around to get that desired tightness. We don't have to do all of them, but I am going to do two here. We do have about four on this kit.
That should be pretty tight. So these cams did do a pretty good job at getting these chains nice and tight. And I only use two of them. There's two more that I could tighten down if we needed to get a little bit tighter, but if you want that added security and comfort, you can go on etrailer.com and purchase some of these rubber tensioners. And all you really need to do is just have the hooks facing out away from your tyres and then go on a diamond or star-pattern just across from each other to get them installed. That's something that you would like to have with your tyre chains. They don't come with them, but, we do sell them here at etrailer.com. Well, everyone, thanks for tuning in and taking a look at Titan chain, snow tyre chains..

Got them today and put one on to check it and it fit perfect
Delivery was great
Haven't installed it, but ordering through eTrailer is an exceptionally good process. Free shipping and no tax made this a much better value than going through local retail. Shipping was a few days and delivered to my door. Research through local suppliers requires them to order model-specific products and it takes them a few days and at least two trips to their store -- this is a much better process. The instructional videos, reviews, and product details are spot on and more helpful than the manufacturers' site. Plugging in my vehicle loads up recommendations that fit my vehicle -- other retailers make you use filters and I'm less confident the product is specific for my make, model vehicle.
These chains I got more than meet my expectations. They are made better than I could imagine. The other chains I got from a large tire dealer are not half as good as these chains are. I would recommend these to everyone that doesn’t want to brake a link and have it slap the side of body. You pay for what you get. Great product !!!
I tow a 24’ enclosed car trailer and now I will purchase chains from etrailer and get my cables replaced.
These chains seemed real nice coming out of the package. Then when I installed them they were way to big. It seems that my tires are on the smaller end of the range for these chains but I had to remove one cross section and 5 links to make them tighten up the way they are supposed to. I haven’t used them yet but I’m sure they will go through any snow and ice I encounter
I do snow plowing with a 1 ton truck. These Titan Chains allow me to plow deep snow up grades and even when there is a thick layer of ice under the snow. The V grips really dig into the snow, ice and gravel. On paved and cement surfaces they will scar the surface, but under adverse conditions they get the job done!
I have a 2014 Chevy 2500 crew cab short bed duramax with 295/70/18 cooper STMaxx tires on and these chains are heavy duty and easy to install with the quick cams. I’m located in PA so we have had a lack of snow but the times I used them on the ice they provide great traction and the price is so reasonable. Thank you etrailer
Bought and installed on old 1978 Chevy 4x4 Camper Special for Montana winters. 4x4 needs added traction traveling off property in Kootenai Mountains. This old pick-up is used to get supplies and haul firewood. Chains were an enormous aid in Snow, Ice, and Mud that make traveling sometimes treacherous. These chains are superior to old ones; and truly seize the road. Love 4 Wheeling.
I've used Titan cam style v bar chains in the past and am purchasing the again. That's probably enough said about the product.
I was helped by both Kimberly O and Hannah N at Etrailer in sizing and selection. I can't say enough about the customer service they provided me and I consistently receive when I contact Etrailer.com. Thank you Kimberly and Hannah!
I have a 2006 Hummer H3 Adventure Pack on 35's and I have used the chains quite extensively. I live in Northern Minnesota so we get our fair share of snow. The chains are very impressive, I use my truck to drive around our 400 acres so I just left them on al winter. I can drive down our snowmobile trails in the dead of winter. I almost got stuck once but I put it in 4 low and locked the diff, it drove right out. All in all I love them.
Went on easy, in a practice install. Have not used in the snow yet.
My F250 Tremor has 285/75R18 stock Goodyear Duratrac tires, which handle snowy conditions pretty well, but being in soCA chains are required during and just after snow storms. I purchased a set of these chains to keep in the truck when I go up to the mountains and chain requirements are in place. When I received the chains, I did a dry run to determine how well they fit. I gave the instruction video a quick watch, then did the install on my own. The chains go on fairly quickly and have a snug fit once the cams are tightened. I did notice that on the inside of the tire, a few links hang which may cause some banging and clanking around that area, so I used a small bungee cord to pull those couple of loose chain links up to keep from hanging and swinging around. Taking the chains off was pretty easy too. I did purchase the multi-arm rubber adjuster to ensure that the chains do not wreck my wheel wells or anything else. I figured this is cheap insurance to help if a link breaks. These don't seem to be needed due to the snug fit, but having them on just makes the chains fit much tighter and secure. Just based on the appearance of the chains, bag they came in, fit, and install; these are pretty good chains.
I use the chains on my vehicle to plow snow on 7 miles of gravel roads, this year being 4 snowfalls. The installation of the chains are fairly easy to accomplish. I'm confident that the rugged construction will last for years to come.
I like the chains very much. Excellent design. Easy to install and with the cam tighteners they didn’t loosen up. I recently delivered lumber on an ice covered dirt road (very steep hill!) and never spun a wheel.
Excellent service fast delivery and a great product. Heavy duty for large tires. Already put one on.
Love these chains !! Fast shipping!! Great fit!! Very friendly customer service!! 5 star! Good quality!! Heavy duty chains!
Thanks for the expedited shipping upgrade. Tire chains fit fine thanks to the cam tensioners. Purchased for a trip over the mountains this winter. Hopefully I will not need them:)
I just received the chains. etrailer was very helpful over the phone helping me select chains that were right for my truck, and the right for the type of terrain I am going to use them on. Shipping was quick, I did 5-7 day and they moved it to 3-5 for free. The chains fit my truck really well. I have not tried them off the road yet, but they look very aggressive so not concerned. They are really east to install, took me less than 5 minutes and you can put them on without actually moving the truck. This is also a plus.
Customer service was wonderful helpful finding the item that fits my truck! Quick delivery, and the ice tire chains appear to be of great quality. Will them a try this weeekend..
I bought 2 sets of these chains and love them! In 2 feet of snow the truck was un- stoppable on the lake with just the set on the back. I didn't have enough room between the tire and front bumper to put them on the front. They were very easy to install and with the cam adjusters they tighten up very well!
Ice Fishing season was over and I hooked my 6,000# ice shack up and to be safe we used 2 trucks together with these chains and plowed our way through 2 feet of pretty wet snow and ice. Very impressed with the traction that they give you.
I have used chains in the past without tightening cams and aways struggled with getting the chain tight enough.
These chains with the cams are a joy to use. The went on easily and tightened up with out a problem.
I used these chains with all weather tires and had no difficulties while plowing 18 inches of heavy wet snow. Prior to using the chains I was getting stuck in the same snow.
We'll worth the money and etrailer provided great service.
I wish I had a trailer, because this retailer rocks! I needed tire chains for my 2012 Nissan Titan so I began my search online through my local tire stores and auto parts sellers. I figured I could simply enter my tire size and quickly find the correct tire chains. No. Not one of the six or seven websites I tried made it that easy. They wanted vehicle brand, model, engine size, trim package…nonsense. I happened onto etrailer.com, they had the full compliment of Titan brand chains and in less than a minute I entered my tire size, chose the ladder pattern with v-bar link and got my chains ordered. All that AND at the best price of any other Titan retailer. After I ordered I received a kind response from an actual person. Three days later I received my tire chains via UPS. I then got another kind response from the same actual person. Good old-fashioned service. Real service! Like going back in time. I’ll look closely at etrailer.com when I have some time to see if they’ve got anything else I need now or down the road. Like I said, wish I had a trailer! My sincerest thanks.
If you have 37 x 14.5 R 15 tires crammed under a Toyota Tacoma, these chains work perfectly.
