Features to know about

Front-Opening Half-Slider Operation

Van Windows Direct Sliding Window

This sliding window replaces the fixed glass in the forward driver-side panel of your Sprinter. Instead of a sealed section along the main cabin wall, the front-opening glass panel slides forward to create a vent in that position. When you're parked, sleeping inside, or trying to move air through the middle of the van, that opening gives the forward section its own airflow instead of leaving it closed off.

Built-In Mesh Screen And Latch

Van Windows Direct Mesh Window

When the glass is slid open, the integrated mesh screen stays in place to block insects from entering through the opening. The spring-loaded latch holds the panel where you set it so the glass remains positioned while you're driving or parked.

17% Gray Solar Privacy Tint

Van Windows Direct Tinted Window

The forward side panel sits at eye level from outside and creates a direct view into the cabin area. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also reduces UV exposure through that section of glass.

OE-Style Sprinter Forward Panel Fit

Cutting into the forward side panel is permanent. The frame has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the body. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.

Urethane-Bonded Installation

Van Windows Dir7ct Urethane

After the opening is cut, urethane primer is applied around the opening before a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW84ZR - sold separately) is applied. Once the window is pressed into place, the urethane bonds the frame to the body and forms the weather seal that keeps water out. Consistent bead thickness helps create a proper seal, and the window is taped in position while the urethane cures.

Video Transcript for Review of Van Windows Direct Van Windows - Half-Slider Window - VW74VR

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at this Van Windows Direct SC Series sliding window for the driver's side forward panel of an 07 through 09 Dodge Sprinter, 07 through 21 Freightliner Sprinter, or a 2010 through current year Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Any wheel base, this is a direct fit for those vans. Always make sure you're double checking the fit guide over at etrailer.com. Be sure you're getting the right parts the first time for your vehicle.

Now folks, what we're looking at is a sliding window as you just saw and has the screen in there as well. And if you're camping, sleeping, or spending a lot of time in your sprinter, having airflow is going to be the difference between that space feeling comfy, being musty, or just being hot and cool, depending on if you have it open or closed. So this is going to bring fresh air in, fresh light. You're going to be able to see more outside and inside, and it's going to just make everything feel open as well. This will be called a front half slider design.

So only the front half slides open or closed as you can see. And this is an OE style replacement. So this is basically the same product they would have put in there, but better even as far as the quality and everything. It's a 17% gray tint on the outside. That's going to give you about an eye level look.

Kind of like if you're looking through sunglasses or shades. That tint's going to help limit the light and it's going to limit how much someone can see inside. It's also going to protect you against 83% of all UV rays coming in. So again, you got a little pull latch here. Let me zoom in here a little bit.

Get a little spring little latch. I can just pull that, open the window. I can open the screen as well. And I can just close the screen if I want. And I could close the window as well or I can close them and open them both together. So it's a great option. As you can see, you can still see through it from the. This would be the inside looking out. You can still see my hand back there pretty well. So again, folks, this is going to follow the factory contour of your van. I do recommend if you are going to install yourself, you're going to need some urethane that's automotive grade. That urethane's going to do a couple things. It's going to bond the window securely to the body of the van. It's also going to be the primary weather seal and keep out debris, dirt, moisture, rain, all that kind of stuff. If you don't want to tackle the install yourself, no problem. We have etrailer affiliated locations around the country. Scroll down, click on installation. Click on that install locator link below, and based on your zip code, we can help pair you up with places around the nation that we are partnered with through the install. Folks, that's going to wrap up our quick look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
