When the snow piles up and the road turns slick, the grooved square links on these pewag chains dig in hard. The grooves give the edges extra bite, helping the chain grip deep snow, mud, and ice where standard links can slip. The ladder pattern keeps traction steady as you roll forward, so you stay in control even on steep or icy climbs.
Every link on these chains is built to work on both sides. When one side starts to show wear, just flip the chain over and keep going. The reversible design lets you get more use out of the same set, saving you from replacing them too early. Dry them after use and they’ll hold up for many winters.
Getting a snug fit in freezing weather can be tough, but the built-in cams make it quick. Just insert the included tool and twist until the chain pulls tight around your tire. You can add rubber adjusters (sold separately) for an even firmer fit. The assisted tensioning setup keeps things secure without a lot of fuss.

These chains are built to take real-world punishment. Nickel manganese alloy steel resists corrosion and holds strong under stress. The case-hardening process gives the outer layer extra toughness while keeping the inner metal resilient to shock. That combination means dependable traction and durability through rough, icy conditions season after season.
If you’re running wide tires, these chains are made for it. They’re built to fit super-single and wide-base-rim tires, giving you the same solid traction and dependability across all your heavy-duty winter driving. Each set includes two chains and comes backed by a 90-day warranty.
These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Pewag Square Link Snow Tire Chains, with cam tensioners. So these chains are going to be designed for some of those more wide and thick tires that you may have, and it is going to give you an extremely aggressive grip. So it is kind of like a ladder patterned-style with these square links. They're going to wear evenly, and they're all made of the same material, which is a manganese nickel alloy steel.
So it's going to resist against that rust and corrosion and all of that salt that's on the road when there's snow. Also, it does have some cam tensioners. They're really, really easy to do and it just makes it very easy to install, because we all know if you're putting these on, you're either stuck or in some cold situations. So making it really easy to put these on is definitely a plus for me.So these square links are going to be about 5.6 mm in width. So it's going to be pretty big.
And with this cross chain pattern as well, it's going to give you about 32% more traction, compared to some of the other ones in this market. So these aren't the most aggressive chains that we get for these tires. We do have some V-Bar ones that are going to be a lot more aggressive. They're going to have more like daggers sticking out. They're going to grip a lot better, but they're going to wear a little bit more. Also, there's some twist links that we have.
It's not going to be as aggressive as our square links here, but they're going to ride a little bit smoother as well. But all of these are going to come in a pack of two. So if you have four wheel drive applications or all wheel drive, just go ahead and use our fit guide on our website, and just type in your tire size and just grab two pair.We do also recommend just grabbing one of these rubber tensioners. It does not come with your kit, but we do sell them here at etrailer.com, so it's the one stop shop.Well everyone, that's just about it for our look at the Pewag Square Link Snow Tire Chains, with cam tensioners.

These chains on my Jeep Rubicon are fantastic. I am a volunteer firefighter and EMT in the mountains of Colorado. I need to get to emergency incidents in the worst of weather. These chains make that possible.
