Question:
should you put tire chains on both front and rear tires on a 4x4 chevy silverdo

Expert Reply:
When using tire chains on a 4-wheel drive vehicle like your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, you can use a set on both the front and the rear wheels. If you use one set of chains only they are often placed on the rear tires but can be used on the front wheels for added steering and braking.
I have attached a helpful article about tire chains you can check out.
Tire chains like the Pewag Snox Pro Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains part # PWSXV600, are designed to fit 15 to 20 inch tires. These chains have a fast and easy installation with automatic tensioning. You simply pull the chains over your tires and they will automatically center and tighten as you drive. The quick-release latch makes it really easy to remove. I have attached a product review video for these chains you can take a look at.
