Features to know about

Installs Without Cutting or Splicing: Plug-In T-Connector

Wiring for towing can be a hassle if you have to splice into factory wires. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector skips all that. It plugs inline with existing tail light connections behind the rear bumper, giving you a clean, factory-style hookup without altering any of your vehicle’s original wiring.

Protects Vehicle Circuits with Powered Converter

This harness uses a powered converter that draws power directly from the vehicle’s 12-volt battery instead of the tail light circuits. That keeps the vehicle wiring from being overloaded while ensuring full, consistent power delivery to your trailer lights. It’s a safer setup that helps prevent blown fuses and dim trailer lights.

Reliable Power for LED and Standard Lights

Some trailers use LED lights, which can cause problems on non-powered systems due to lower resistance. The Curt C55367 harness handles both LED and incandescent lights with ease thanks to its powered design. It provides stable current for running lights, turn signals, and brake lights so everything functions just as it should when you hit the road.

Ready for Everyday Towing: 4-Flat Connector Output

Once installed, the 4-flat connector gives you the standard trailer lighting functions—running lights, turn signals, and brake lights—all in one easy plug. It’s compatible with most small and mid-size trailers, so you can hook up and go without extra adapters or modifications.

Simple Power Connection Under the Hood

A built-in fuse holder and single-prong grey connector make it easy to tie into the vehicle’s power source under the hood. The ring terminal connects straight to the positive battery post for a solid connection, while the fuse holder protects your system from power surges. It’s a straightforward setup that keeps everything tidy and reliable.

It shortened out and blew fuses in my truck so I had no turn signals and flashers. About a month ago I had to purchase another one and installed it. Easy to install but thought it would last longer.

When a trailer wiring taillight converter harness shorts out, it's frequently caused by a short circuit in the trailer wiring. I'd recommend closely examining the trailer wiring for loose connections or wires with cracked or worn insulation. If the short isn't repaired, you'll keep shorting out converter boxes.

by:

The product fit perfectly as stated. Made the job very easy. My only reasons for not giving it a 5 star are 1 the kit did not come with any dielectric grease nor a picture showing where the 12v factory connection was, I found that on another site ( Its right next to the bsttery ).But as far as fit and ease of insulation I would give it a 5 star.

by:

Good afternoon, I receive my order, but the box came in tour ripped looked damaged I’m checking to see if all the parts are in good shape at this moment.

by:

Quick shipping. Easy installation. Haven't had a chance to use it with a trailer yet, but it appears to be working after checking it with my test light. Took longer to move the battery, route and secure the cables under the hood than to actually plug both pieces in as directed by the instructions. Total install time was about 90 minutes.

by:

Curt trailer wiring kit has good connectors and was easy to install into factory setup on my Tundra.

by:

Why is it when I order a 50lb hitch, I receive it in world class 1 day time. When I order 1/2 lb wiring harness it takes longer than the pony express 8 day time. Products have always been first class and shipping usually is first class as long as the wiring is ordered with the hitch.

by:

After tons of problems and hours of install, troubleshooting and repairs to my previous trailer and truck wiring, I finally ordered the exact fit 'plug and play' version of the wiring kit to replace the splice-in type from local auto parts store. It took about 15min. total to install in the dark. Where instructions were slightly too brief, etrailers website video clarified. Lights on trailer are brighter than they've ever been, previous bad grounding problem is solved and I'm looking forward to the fuse protected circuit saving me from buying more replacement converters in the future.

by:

Fast shipping, and the customer service was great.

by:

Replace OEM box pretty simple worked gr eat

by:

Product worked awesome fast and easy thank you A++++

by:

Simple and only too minutes to install

by:

Easy installation

by:

Didn’t fit even though it said it was a match and customer service had no idea how to help. Their offer was straight to a refund

by:

Had some shipping issues; however, customer service agents did an excellent job resolving them.

by:

Perfect fit installation was flawless great product

by:

wiring harness installed easily, fixed an intermittent problem that had been bugging me for years

  • Location Of The Grey Fuse Holder Connector On A 2000 Toyota Tundra
The small grey connector that is attached to the red fuse holder wire on the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C55367 for a 2000 Toyota Tundra is located in the vehicle's engine compartment between the battery and firewall. It should be a small grey connector with a single prong. Don't forget to add a bit of Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors part # 11755 before mating the connectors. You will also want to use a 4-way mounting bracket...

  • Installation of Electric Brake Controller on 2012 Isuzu NPR Connect
For your Pilot 2-6 Brake Electronic Brake Controller - Time Delayed # 80550, you will need to connect the black power wire to the battery of your vehicle using a circuit breaker like # PK54530 and # 12-1-1 wire. Then you will connect the red wire on your controller to the cold side of your brake light switch. From my research it looks like that is the green with white tracer, but you can check it with your circuit tester # PTW2993. The correct wire will show no power when the brake pedal...

  • Trailer Wiring 4-Way Recommendation for 2000 Toyota Tundra
Hey Lias, we actually have a much easier and less expensive option that fits your 2000 Toyota Tundra with the Curt part # C55367. This plugs right in and doesn't require any splicing like the harness you mentioned so it is for sure the way to go. The part # C59236 would technically work but it would be a lot more involved to install.

  • Parts Needed to Install 7-Way and Brake Controller on 2002 Isuzu NPR
To install a new, fully functional 7-Way connector on your 2002 Isuzu NPR you will need to start by hardwiring a 4-Way harness. There are not any plug-and-play harnesses available for your particular truck. If your truck has turn signals and brake lights that run on the same bulbs then I recommend the Tekonsha # 18252. If the turn and brake signals are on separate bulbs then you will use the Tekonsha # 119178KIT instead. This kit includes the converter that is needed to combine the circuits...

  • Where Does Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Install on a 2000 Toyota Tundra
It looks like the connector you need is actually already plugged into something which I have pointed out in the picture you sent. The empty plugs on the right side do not seem to match the connector on the Curt wiring harness # C55367 for the 2000 Toyota Tundra. Or, if you can plug it into that lighter connector in the upper right and everything works then you are good to go.
