Features to know about

Stay Level Under Load: 6,000-lb Rear Axle Support

When heavy cargo or a trailer pushes your rear suspension down, steering and braking can feel light and unpredictable. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 6,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep the vehicle sitting level and stable. The hollow rubber springs stiffen progressively as weight increases, helping prevent rear-end sag and keeping handling steady when you’re towing or hauling serious weight.

Smooth Out the Rough Stuff: Progressive Rubber Spring Design

Rough roads and uneven terrain can punish your factory suspension. Timbren’s hollow rubber springs act as shock absorbers, soaking up bumps and jolts before they reach the cab. The convoluted design collapses smoothly under load, then firms up as weight increases to maintain control. You get a smoother, more stable ride under load while also reducing wear and tear on your stock suspension parts.

Handle Off-Center Loads with Confidence: Independent Spring Action

Uneven loads can throw your truck off balance, especially when cornering or swerving. Each Timbren spring works independently on its side of the vehicle to support off-center loads and reduce body roll. That independent action helps you stay in control during quick maneuvers or crosswinds, keeping the truck level and the trailer tracking straight.

Skip the Air Lines and Adjustments: Simple Bolt-On Design

There’s no need to run hoses, mount gauges, or manage air pressure. The system bolts directly to the frame above the rear axle using custom brackets and included hardware—no drilling required. Once installed, it automatically engages as weight increases, providing support exactly when needed without any manual setup or ongoing maintenance.

Built to Last a Lifetime: Durable Rubber Construction

Timbren’s heavy-duty rubber springs are engineered for years of service without leaks or adjustments. The dense rubber material resists cracking while maintaining elasticity for a comfortable ride under load. With a lifetime warranty and satisfaction guarantee, it’s a reliable way to improve handling, reduce squat, and extend the life of your factory suspension system.

I used the included spacers to put the Timbrens within about 3/4 inch to the frame unloaded. I can tell it bottoms out on some bumps when unloaded. This is fine though as it isn't an harsh feeling but seems more like our previous 2500 suspension. Towing our travel trailer is great with these. Squat is reduced to nearly nothing and the towing experience is just fine. These have been a great buy.

The product is still working great. The harsh unloaded ride is only noticed on big bumps etc and does not bother me honestly.

installed in under 30 minutes. what a difference they make! thank you! everything was exactly as pictured and described on your site. Will order from you again.

by:

Does what it says.Holds the rear up

UPGRADE MY TRUCK SUSPENSION.

by:

Exactly what I needed. Customer Service was really good.

by:

Pros: Cheaper and easier to install than airbags, do the job when load is enough to compress the shock, with added weight or towing, then it stiffens the rear very nicely.
Cons: Doesn't do anything until there is 2-3cm of compressed shock. It sits above the contact point, doesn't touch. Under normal driving, there is no benefit/improved stiffness/anti sway in rear or a leveling of the factory rear sag in a 2022 or newer Toyota Tundra.
If had it to do over, would have put some kind of spacer in between product and upper included bracket, the supplied bolt is long enough to accommodate, to eliminate the gap, and lift the rear 1-2 cm. Should do it anyway, maybe when swapping to summer wheels next month.

by:

The Timbrens work as advertised. My Tundra squatted quite a bit when I hooked up my boat and trailer which is about 7500 pounds dry. The Timbrens only let the truck squat about an inch and have not changed the quality of the ride with no load. I would highly recommend if you do not want to spend the extra money for air suspension. Super easy to install as well.

I have always got very good things from E-trailer and price has been right on good when i compared with other site . There on my first go to site when i need things .

A relatively easy install. Did a terrific job of reducing the squat with a travel trailer hooked up.

Hey! Happy Wednesday! Your install looks great. The photos will be helpful to future customers checking out the reviews, so thank you for taking the time to submit them!

by:

Well worth it! Very easy install! My truck remains level with any load. I still use a WDH but it’s a great knowing I’ll always be level. How does it ride empty? They do not engage unless you have 4 people in the cab and hit a very large bump. It then feels like a truck. I never have to worry about a leaky bag or air pressure levels.

Looks like you have been traveling to all sorts of places, Bret! What kind of travel plans do you have coming up this year?

by:

Installed with spacer kit as the truck has a small lift. Did not bring truck back to level like I hoped. Please see full review at the Timbren spacer kits.

by:

Just made my first pull of our new to us eight thousand pound bumper hitch travel trailer with my 2023 Tundra. Of course used a leveling hitch but was really pleased how the Timbren helped to stabilize the load. Did get some Dolphin effect crossing a very long bridge but I just backed off the accelerator a little and it smoothed right out. At this point I highly recommend the Timbren. Super easy to install on the Tundra and when you compare the OE stops to the Timbren there really is no comparison. See the picture and that is an I Phone eleven case to give a size comparison.

by:

It was very easy to install and has made a big difference when towing my travel trailer. No sag and better stability while driving.

by:

Product is well built installation was a breeze didn’t even have to take the wheel off and ordering from etrailer is the only way to go

This averaged out to be a 3.25 rounded to 3.

I think the cost is a little high for such a simple product.
It was a very simple process to install.

It leveled my 24 Tundra 4 door pretty decent. Still some squat.

The ride is a jarring bounce when it hits the bump stops.

It does what it is supposed to but at a price. I still havent decide if I am going to switch to air bags (which will also come from etrailer-they have been great and accommodating as needed)

by:

E Trailer pricing was the best I could find and their service was awesome. Jacob F did an outstanding job in getting the parts shipped to me quickly. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System for my 2023 Tundra was so simple to install and it is performing exactly as I had hope that it would. Great buy from a great supplier.

by:

No complaints. This was an easy install, didn’t even have to take the tires off. Helps my tundra was two months old and hasn’t seen any rain (clean and all bolts were corrosion free).
Etrailer was awesome, thanks to Brandon… he clarified correct part number and ordered everything in one phone call. Excellent customer service.

Glad to hear they are working well for you, Ryan! Now that they are on, where you headed?

by:

2,000 miles in on a trip from the east coast to the Canadian Rockies these work great while loaded and towing. Close to zero bounce while towing, I love them. Unloaded, however, the ride in my 2026 Tundra has gone south. There is a noticeable, abrupt stop of the units hitting the axle when going over any kind of bump. When I get home and back to regular driving, I may just take them off, its that bad.

Glad they are working well for you, Kevin! Well, while you are towing, that is. We have heard that these can be pretty rough when unloaded, but work great when you are loaded. A quick release function on these would make taking them off when not towing a lot easier. I may pitch that to Timbren to see if they can work something out. I will tell them to call it something like the Kevin Device if they agree! ^___^ Sounds like quite the trip! What has been your favorite stop so far?

  • Do I Want Sumo Springs or Timbrens to Pair with My Weight Distribution Hitch?
Hello Barry, Since you already have a weight distribution (WD) hitch and are only experiencing a little rear sag, I recommend going with SumoSprings. I typically only suggest Timbrens for those who are towing heavy loads regularly, as they can create a noticeably harsh ride when the vehicle is unloaded. Given that the sag is “not much but noticeable,” the SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs Rear Axle # SS46PV (blue) should be a great fit. These are rated for 1,400 lbs, while the yellow...

  • Do I Need to Add Timbrens to the Front of My 2024 Toyota Tundra for Hauling a 7K Trailer?
Hello Edward, Great choice on the Timbrens for the rear. Since all of your weight is in the rear of the truck I do not think that it is necessary to put them on the front, even with hauling a 7,000 pound trailer. All of the focus is on the tongue weight which is what pulls the rear of your truck down. Now if you were thinking of installing a winch, using a snow plow, or any heavy accessory on the front of the vehicle, then you would want to add the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement...

Hey Scott, congrats on the new truck. I checked with Timbren's website and they do not go into specifics on how many spacers or what size you're going to need. The instructions for the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System item # T45MR say to leave a 1/2" - 1-1/2" gap between the spring and the part of your axle where they contact. Giving a range like that is so you can adjust the spacers for your comfort and ride height preferences. Since your 2025 Toyota Tundra has the factory lift,...

  • Should I Run the Spacer with the Timbren for 2025 Toyota Tundra

Ideally when the kit is installed there will be 1 inch of space between the Timbren and the frame so whichever orientation gets closest to that would be what you'd want to go with. If you do run the spacer and you find that the ride quality is rough you can always remove it to improve the ride quality.

  • Which Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Kit for 2022 Toyota Tundra
Hey Matt, so you would definitely want to go with the standard capacity Timbren kit part # T45MR that fits your 2022 Toyota Tundra over the severe service. The severe option is for trucks that will always have a heavy load in the bed like a camper or always towing a trailer. For your application it would be WAY to harsh and you'd hate driving the truck.
