Features to know about

Stay Level and Stable Under Heavy Loads: 7,000-lb Rear Axle Support

When you’re hauling a heavy camper, salt spreader, or loaded bed, rear-end sag can throw off your truck’s balance. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 7,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep your vehicle level and steady. The hollow rubber springs sit above the rear axle and automatically stiffen as more weight is added. This progressive spring rate helps maintain steering control, braking stability, and overall ride confidence when the load gets serious.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Hollow Rubber Springs That Absorb Shock

Bumpy roads and uneven terrain can beat up your suspension. Timbren’s hollow rubber springs act as built-in shock absorbers that take the brunt of bumps and rough surfaces. They cushion lighter loads and keep the ride comfortable while protecting your factory suspension from bottoming out. That means less wear on your leaf springs and a smoother, more controlled ride even when the road turns rough.

Reduce Roll and Sway: Independent Side-to-Side Action

Sharp corners, swerves, or uneven loads can make a truck lean or sway. Each Timbren spring works independently to support its side of the vehicle, cutting down on body roll and helping you stay planted through turns or crosswinds. The independent action also helps when hauling off-center loads so both sides stay balanced and stable no matter what’s in the bed.

No-Hassle Setup: Bolt-On Brackets with No Drilling Required

Adding serious support doesn’t have to mean complicated installation. This system includes custom-fit brackets and hardware that bolt directly to the frame—no drilling required. With laser-cut steel pieces that fit cleanly above the rear axle, you can install it using basic tools and get back on the road with confidence that your setup is built to handle real work.

Video Transcript for Feature Review Timbren Suspension Enhancement System-T65MR

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Timbren Severe Service Rear Suspension Enhancement System. Now, this is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 2022 Toyota Tundra trucks. And on a custom fit part, what I like to recommend for you is to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now, this kit here will improve the suspension, the handling, and safety on your vehicle, and this is a severe service kit, and they're recommended when using like a slide-in camper or a salt spreader on your vehicle. Any application that'll require maximum stability, meaning reducing roll and sway, calls for a severe service upgrade.

And most rubber springs used on pickup trucks are double convoluted design, provides a perfect blend of capacity and ride quality, but these rubber springs that are used on the severe service, as you can see, they are a single convoluted design. Basically, the single convoluted springs are shorter and wider, and they're designed to resist weight more aggressively, and the result is reduced ride quality in exchange for more stability. Now, these do work independently side to side, these will help compensate for off-center loads. They do reduce body roll and swerving in turning corners. What's also nice is these do act as shock absorbers, taking the brunt of any bumps and rough roads, which will help extend the life in your vehicle suspension.

This part will include everything shown here, it includes the two Aeon rubber springs, these vehicle specific mounting brackets, and the hardware for its simple installation. And these do install directly onto your frame, they replace the bump stop, there's no drilling required. Does come with a nice set of instructions that'll describe how it goes together. Few specs on this, the capacity is 7,000 pounds. Now, one thing I do wanna mention is even though you're increasing the spring rate by adding this upgrade, this does not increase your gross vehicle weight rating of the vehicle, so you still wanna make sure not to exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit.

And also, this is designed to work with a suspension system that is in good working order. But that should do it for the review on this Timbren Severe Service Rear Suspension Enhancement System..

Wow, that is exactly what we love to hear about these springs! That is a serious camper. Any plans with it this summer?

by:
I have Timbrens on an F350. We have a heavy truck camper that we use multiple times a year. I've had both these and airbags on multiple rigs over the years and the Timbrens are superior by far especially because they don't leak at the connections, valves or bags or work loose. They also help with the sway.
There is no pump or electrical involved. Airbags have just too many parts and potential points of failure guaranteed to happen away from home on a muddy road. Once Timbres are installed you're done. In this case the less expensive and simpler solution is the better one!

Time will tell! Fast and easy install on my 2012 custom flatbed tundra. Hoping this will help when I overload my truck. I have about 900 lbs of extra weight on my truck at all times + Old man Emu heavy duty leaf springs.

Really won't know until I put my truck camper on the vehicle. Product looks and feels quality, we'll see about performance. Installation instructions could be a bit more detailed.

So far they have been fine. They are part of my suspension upgrades, along with stable loads and sway bar. I wasnt worried about harder ride when camper off, I wanted best suspension when camper was on. I would definitely recommend them.

Huge posotive difference felt when towing a fifth wheel trailer. There is still too much gap between the axle tube and the cushion, so Timbren is sending additional hardware at no charge.
by:
2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty
It was tough to remove the stock bump stops on a 06 f350 the new timbrens were straight forward easy to install. They are quite expensive for what they are! I won’t be putting the slide in camper back on until spring so I really won’t know how they will perform but I hope they work as advertised.

Ford F-350 Super Duty
I ran air bags on my previous trucks when pulling my 5th wheel and trailers, but these worked just as well without the expense. I run them on a F350. Great product!!!
by:
2011 Ram 1500
The installation was pretty simple and I’m sure they will work out fine, but I won’t know for sure until the next time I have to take my tractor on the trailer or load up my ATV.

2023 Ford F-350 Super Duty
The Timbrens arrived and install was a breeze. Look to be of very good quality. I went with the severe duty because my truck is always loaded up with camping supplies, electric bikes tools…. The topper on back along with the slide tray are added weight. I pull a 7k travel Trailer with 650-700 pounds on hitch. The Timbrens are barely touching the axel without the trailer. I really enjoy dealing with etrailer. They answer all your questions and always put the customer first. It’s kind of like your project is their project.

Excellent product. Does exactly what they were designed to do. I removed the sever duty extension. Now the ride is soft when unloaded. But yet smooth when towing or loaded heavy.

@Charles Nice! I'm glad you are still enjoying them. I had the timbrens on my old Nissan Titan and they did great for the 5 years they were installed for towing my car hauler. I'm curious though, when you say you removed the severe duty extension, are you meaning the rubber spacer?

@AndrewN Yes sir, with the extra rubber in the ride when empty was a little rough. IMG_6417.jpeg

They are difficult to seat. Soapy water does nothing to help. I had to spray with silicon, jack up the back of the truck and place 2x4's between the bump stop and the axle,NUMEROUS TIMES.
Once I towed my 5th wheel I noticed the difference. When unloaded, the ride is normal.

Love my Timbrens. Had airbags and was tired of leaks and the need to adjust air pressure. Easy to install!

  • Suspension Enhancement Kit for 2024 Toyota Tundra With Factory Lift
Hey Mark, I recommend going with the kit you looked at, which is Timbren Suspension Enhancement System - Rear Axle # T45MR along with Spacer Kit # T68MR. If you had a camper on the bed, or had the rear end maxed out all the time, then I'd recommend the Severe Duty Kit # T65MR, but I doubt you need that. If you used it and didn't actually need that much support, then your truck would suffer from a rough ride all the time.

  • Recommended Rear Suspension Enhancement for a 2022 Toyota Tundra With Slide In Camper
I recommend installing the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # T65MR on your 2022 Toyota Tundra. These rubber jounce springs are designed to provide added support when used with slide in campers like you have or other heavy items like a salt sprayer. This will greatly reduce the amount of sag in your suspension and give you a level and stable ride with all the additional weight.
