Big loads can make the back end sag and throw off your steering and braking. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support between the frame and rear suspension to keep things level when you’re hauling or towing heavy. With balanced weight distribution, you maintain better control, steadier braking, and properly aimed headlights even when the trailer or bed is full.
Not every haul is the same, and your suspension shouldn’t be either. These double-convoluted air springs let you adjust pressure from 5 psi to 100 psi so you can dial in the perfect firmness for any load. Add air to help carry heavy gear or level an off-center load, then drop pressure when unloaded for a smoother ride. Separate manual inflation valves make it easy to tune each side independently for even handling.
Heavy loads can beat up stock leaf springs over time. The Ride-Rite system takes that strain off the suspension with heavy-duty air bags made from four layers of reinforced rubber and braided wire girdles for strength. The double-convoluted design cushions bumps and absorbs road shock to prevent bottoming out. By softening contact between the axle and frame, it helps protect your suspension components and keeps the ride comfortable mile after mile.
When you’re hauling through rough weather or down dusty roads, reliability matters. Each Ride-Rite spring is sealed with corrosion-resistant metal end plates using a rolled crimp that locks everything in place. The result is a durable air spring setup that holds pressure and stays leak-free. With quality brackets, airline fittings, and hardware included, this kit is ready to handle real-world towing and hauling without giving up over time.
Adding serious support doesn’t need to be complicated. The kit includes custom-fit brackets, air springs, hardware, airline, and separate valves for manual inflation—everything needed for a clean install using basic tools. Brackets mount between the frame and axle for solid alignment, and some setups may require drilling. Once installed, you’ll have a suspension upgrade ready to work as hard as you do every day or weekend on the road.

The airbags leveled my truckup an nice for pulling heavy loads.
Excellent product. Kind of a non-novice project but once installed it works perfect! Keep mine around 50 psi to comp for my 16000 pound toy hauler. Keeps the truck level with no butt squat. Highly recommend it to those who are looking.
Took longer to get old bump stops off than the install of new parts. Seems good.

Figment was good and the instructions were definitely straight to the point with only 3 detailed pictures! Easy installation and holds my F250 level with a 48 volt golf cart in the bed with an approximately 1000 pounds of other junk.

Received air bags in 3 days. Arrived in good condition. Overall installation was fairly easy. It took me about 3 hrs just because I was moving slowly and had to readjust a couple of times. Very happy with the way it turned out. Bought it because im planning on a heavy haul in a few days. Will see how it works.

Loading a RZR in bed of my truck, and towing a trailer, needed the extra support. It was easy to install. The instructions were easy to follow, and the installation video was also very helpfull. This product performs as advertised. Very pleased with the results.

love them well worth the money made a huge difference. My fifth wheel used to bounce a lot but not anymore took a little longer than it said but well worth it. A little advise take spare tire out first thing it will give you a lot more room again it made a world of difference smoother ride wife even loved them she said best money I've spent in awhile. love them
I haven’t installed yet, but I made the mistake of ordering an Airbag kit for 2WD when I needed 4WD. etrailer quickly flipped order, sent me a return label, and got me a new one within 5 days. I have used in past, and Customer service is always on point.
I have the ride rite air bags on a f350 with a Arctic fox 811. They do a awesome job of leveling truck with camper on it
Product was shipped promptly and arrived in three days. Had watched the Etrailer installation video and read through the instructions before the helper springs arrived. Installation was quick and simple and went well. Only thing I was puzzled with was which bracket was for the left side and which one was the right side that bolts on the lower bracket that goes over the Jounce stop. Once I assembled the bracket and held it in position you could easily see if you had the correct side, wrong side won't fit into place. Excellent product, performs as stated in description. Would recommend.
Just finished putting air bags on our pick up. Fairly easy to put on. So far so good.
I ordered the air bag helper springs on an early Friday and received the following Monday, The item purchased was easy to instal in a few hours and really helped the sagging of my rear suspension while pulling an enclosed car hauler no more bottoming out bad roads my F 250 rides really nice again ! I would recommend this product to anyone and the price was great !
Great product. Installed on my 2005 ford F350
Easy install..about an hour plus the on board compressor kit..towing a 38' fifth wheel toy hauler. .about 12k lbs. Truck sits level with trailer and only the minimum 5 lbs of air..but pumping to about 50 lbs really improved the ride and stability. ..glad I did it..great product
The Firestone kit for great. Installed in about a hour without issues. I contacted etrailer to confirm fitment on my 2006 F350 4x4 CCLB diesel dually due to clearance between the jounce mount and stabilizer bar bracket. They contacted Firestone and assured me it would fit. Very nice quality and easy installation. The kit does come with a bracket for the air fittings to be mounted off a hitch so no need to purchase separately.
The air bags seem well built the supplied hardware is trash. i had to use my tap and die set to re-cut/ clean the threads ont he airbags and the nuts. the manufacturing process was junk. the bolts that go to the frame, trash, use some heavy duty grade 8 hardware from Tractor Supply. Additionally the blocks/ shims that are to support the bottom to the axle are too short. i have a 4x4 2007 F250. again, i made my own
I have used this product for over a year and I am very happy about the way my truck rides and handles pulling my 28ft gooseneck trailer witch that can weigh between 8 and 12 thousand pounds. The product added great stability and eliminated sagging and allowed my truck to ride at stock height.
The lift has worked great. They leveled the truck out and greatly reduced the bounce and sway of the trailer and where easy to install. The only problem was finding a tee for the air line as I wanted to air them up together.

If you would like to tee the air lines together so the bags can be inflated equally, the Firestone Union Tee for 1/4 inch Tubing # F3025-1 is perfect for this air bag kit.

The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Springs were easy for a novice "mechanic" to install. The videos were a great help. I also purchased the tubing cutter because if the air connection to the bladder is not perfectly square, the possibility of air leaks increases. I also used fuel line tubing to provided added insulation for the air lines. My suggestion prior to installation is to remove the rear tires and spare to allow plenty of room. Lastly, kudos to the helpful folks at etrailer.com. They were able to price match other businesses and were knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Would DEFINITELY purchase from them again!

Wow, following up on a purchase that I made over a year ago! That is what I call GREAT customer service!Everything is great regarding the Firestone Vehicle Suspension system. I was a little worried about leaks developing over time, but all has been perfect!
Installed this on my 2006 F 250, installation instructions were easy to follow. Just be ready to work getting the bump stops off (spray with penetrating oil before trying to remove. The rest of the install was easy, I followed the advice of one of the other reviews and put the air valves through the tag to avoid drilling holes in my bumper.Total time was about three hours without removing the tires and no lift.
I have had these air bags on 3 vehicles over the past 20 years, my current F250 hauls a 38 ft fithwheel with ease and no porpoising wouldn’t have it any other way

Just returned home from a 3400 mile trip and as always the air springs preformed great
Install with 1 person took 4 hours, mostly looking for misplaced tools. I had on for 1 year and have had no problems. I did install a 3 way tee which allows for air to be equal on both air bags from 1 valve stem. What a difference these make while towing. I can actually tow my trailer at level height and get a better ride inside the truck. If you get these bags, you will want to buy a bigger trailer!
