If your old brakes are dragging or not stopping like they used to, this DeeMaxx disc brake kit delivers a serious upgrade. The 1-piece hub-and-rotor assemblies use ceramic pads and stainless steel pistons for smooth, responsive braking with shorter stopping distances. Each kit includes everything needed for one axle—two integral hub-rotor assemblies with inner and outer bearings, races, seals, oil caps, wheel bolts, and lug nuts—built to handle 8,000 lbs of axle capacity with a #42 spindle and 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern.

Salt, water, and winter road grime can eat through unprotected metal fast. The Maxx coating on these rotors, calipers, and brackets gives over 1,000 hours of salt spray protection—far beyond zinc or Dacromet finishes. Drainage holes in the hat section let water escape quickly to keep internal corrosion at bay. It’s a smart choice for anyone towing or storing near coastal environments.

Heavy loads and long grades can generate serious heat. DeeMaxx combats this with vented rotors that move air efficiently through the core, plus additional drainage holes for even more airflow. The result is cooler operation, less brake fade, and longer pad life. This same performance helped DeeMaxx pass the demanding SAE J2681 automotive brake test—a real benchmark for consistent friction and durability.

This kit is built to make setup and service simple. The calipers have laser-etched bleeding instructions right on the housing so you’ll always have clear guidance when it’s time for maintenance. The patented caliper mounting system keeps sleeves aligned and puts load on the bracket instead of the bolts to reduce wear. Unlike drum brakes with springs and magnets to adjust, these disc brakes are virtually maintenance-free—just replace pads when needed.

Each component is engineered from automotive-grade materials for strength you can count on season after season. The 13" rotors fit wheel sizes 16" and larger, use 5/8" studs, and are supported by a 7-year warranty that backs DeeMaxx’s focus on long-term reliability and performance.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this DeeMaxx 13 inch Threaded Hub and Rotor Assembly Kit. It has the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern with the five eights inch diameter studs, and it's for 8,000 pound axles, and they have a max coat finish on them. Now this kit here will let you upgrade your trailer from drum to disk brakes for superior performance. We mentioned the threaded hubs right here.
These are mostly used on oil bath axles. Now this kit will include everything laid out here on the table. We'll go through all the parts here, and I'll start with the hub and rotors. Right here you'll get two max coated cast iron threaded hub and rotor assemblies. And they'll have on the inside the pre-installed bearing races.
It'll come with two inner bearings, two outer bearings, two oil seals, two threaded oil caps that'll screw right into the outside here of the hub. Comes with the lug nuts to hold your tire wheels to these. And those lug nuts, they're 16 of the five eights inch by 18 size lug nuts. The caliper's right here, they also have the max coating on 'em. They will include the brake pads and the installation bolts.
And then the caliper mounting brackets that the calipers will bolt to, they are included. They are also max coded. Now this kit will require a hydraulic brake actuator that's rated at 1500 PSI or above, and brake lines to activate your brakes. Those items we do sell separately on our website. I'm gonna go over the hub and rotor itself.
It's a one piece hub and rotor assembly. This will reduce the chance of uneven rotor wear. If you notice, as I turn this, it has a vented design on it that'll dissipate the heat faster, prevents premature brake pad wear. Also, if you look at the hat section of this hub and rotor, you'll see these holes. These are drainage holes. These will allow water to drain easily, further minimizing any corrosion. Now this was excellent for occasional use in salt water or areas with a lot of snow, slush, or road salt. We mentioned the max coat finish that's on these parts. It's on the hub and rotors, caliper brackets, and the calipers. They all have a salt spray rating of over a thousand hours. Now this kit offers dramatically shorter stopping distances and smooth control braking. And I did wanna show you the pads. If we zoom in here on one of the calipers, if I turn this, you'll be able to see the ceramic brake pads that increase stopping power. And right in here on the inside is a stainless steel piston. It has a two and a quarter inch diameter to it so it'll provide fast, responsive braking. Now this kit requires minimal maintenance, saving you time and money. As a matter of fact, if you looked on the front of the caliper right here, you'll notice they have laser etched instructions on it to take the guesswork out of installing and bleeding your brakes. Now this kit will fit A-KO 8,000 pound axles with the number 42 spindle. The wheel size that'll fit on these is 16 inches and larger. We mentioned the bolt pattern, eight on six and a half inches. Stud diameter of five eighths of an inch. And the rotor diameter, 13 inches. And also I just wanted to show you the brake, or the caliper brackets that the calipers are attached to is, it fits a four bolt brake flange configuration. You can see the four holes here. So this will bolt to the four bolt brake flange on your axle. But that's gonna do it for a look at the DeeMaxx 13 inch Threaded Hub and Rotor Assembly Kit, eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern with the five eights inch studs for 8,000 pound axles.
