Question:

hi guys , I own a ford 2006 f350 dually long bed 4x4. I bought a 3500 lb truck camper. I need to install air bags and the wired to tie down the rv to the truck. I am quite lost about the parts i should buy and need. please advice. thank you for help.

Starting off with air bags I recommend getting the Firestone # F2400. Firestone air bags have the best construction and are the most reliable. These have 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity and come with a lifetime warranty on the air springs. If you want to be able to make adjustments from the cab no matter where you go I would also add an air compressor like the # F99VV. This system has wireless control and will let you adjust each air bag independently.

When you say the wired to tie down the RV to the truck I'm assuming you're talking about turnbuckles. If you don't already have camper tie-downs installed those will also need to be added. The correct tie-downs depend on whether you have boards or steps that extend underneath your truck bed. I will also need to know what kind of hitch you have such as factory, aftermarket, or Torklift SuperHitch. If you get me this information I can find the right tie-downs for your truck if you need them.

For turnbuckles I recommend the TorkLift Locking FastGun. These are really easy to use and come with locks for added security. They also have a stainless steel construction to prevent corrosion. You can choose from the following:

- Gray: TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs # TLS9522-2-LK

If you want something a little less on the premium side check out the TorkLift SpringLoad XL Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLS9050A. These also have a stainless steel construction but lack the locks and levers the FastGun have. You will need to order a quantity of 2 of the SpringLoad XL.
