Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a real quick look at this Firestone replacement thermal sleeve. This is going to replace one of the thermal sleeves for your Firestone Ride-Rite Air Spring Kit. This sleeve is a direct replacement from Firestone, and it is designed to protect your airline from wear and tear due to rubbing or heat. And this is going to be a very simple installation. I have a bundle of a quarter inch airline tubing right here from Firestone, and it's simply just going to go over the airline tubing, and then you're just going to slide that into place wherever you need it.
So, it's gonna be very simple. And again, this is going to work with quarter of an inch airline tubing. And this is going to include this one thermal sleeve. And the overall length, as you can see, we're sitting right at seven and a half inches long. So, if you are needing to replace one of the thermal sleeves for your Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Spring Kit, this is going to be exactly what you need.

Replaces 1 of the thermal sleeves for your Firestone Ride-Rite air spring kit. Protects your air line from wear due to rubbing or heat.Just what I needed to finish up the Airbag installation. The parts ensure the airlines are well insulated from heat from exhaust pipe.
The Firestone airbags were very easy to install. The only place that I scratched my head was for the torque values for the various hardware. I eventually located it at the end of the instructions. It is common in the better auto repair manuals to list the torque ratings in the drawings. Just an idea.
Since I'm somewhat OCD when it comes to mechanical work, I always have a torque wrench in hand for the final tightening.

The air tubing cutter worked as advertised. Nice, clean and even cuts every time.
I purchased used air bags but they did not come with the brackets or mounting hardware contacted etrailer with the question of what I needed they sent me a very detailed response. I ordered the brackets and mounting hardware installed it on my truck and was very satisfied with the results.
