Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Firestone straight connector for quarter inch air line tubing. Now this male straight connector provides an adapter for air line tubing to connect to a component with a quarter inch NPT valve. This male connector includes one threaded male quarter inch NPT fitting on this end and on the other end is one push to connect fitting for the Firestone quarter inch air line tubing. This part is for a quantity of one straight connector.I'll give you a few measurements on this. Overall length from end to end is right at one and a quarter inches and the threaded section is going to be right at half an inch. But that should do it for the review on the Firestone straighter connector for the quarter inch air line tubing..

These are great fittings! Much more user friendly than compression fittings, and makes for a much quicker installation, too.
The red thread sealant that comes factory applied seems to cause more leaks than it fixes, however. I have an old container of Grrip thread sealant from a boiler install many years back that I slather on top of the thread sealant - not one leak using that stuff. I had several leaks using the fittings as delivered.
The key to getting the lines to remain leak free is a perfectly square cut. For years I resisted buying a tubing cutter, but wow - I had no idea what I was missing. One cut, every time. Saved me so much time and aggravation.
Only gripe I have with these is their price, although Viair products are a bit worse in that department. Needed a couple of these to finish my Ox locking differential install, along with an airbag controller in my Silverado 1500. No problems, using that Grrip sealer.

Well made connectors with generous amount of sealant on threads. The two I ordered from etrailer were a third less expensive than two from my local [auto parts store] and had much better coverage of the sealant on the threads. Although the connectors were on back order from the manufacturer, etrailer let me know they were on back order in a timely manner, gave me the option to cancel my order and kept in touch several times while I waited on the order to be filled. I have used etrailer a number of times and always found them to be very helpful and informative. Their tech support is among the very best. I highly recommend using etrailer.

After a year the connectors continue to work well despite being mounted underneath my pick-up and exposed to the elements. This is one reason I always look to eTrailer for quality parts and tech support.

It is the third time I have ordered from etrailer and like before they came through. Had ordered firestone air bags for my 2011 truck and they came with the wrong nuts and 1 broken air line connector. Found the nuts but had to get the connector and it was delivered as promised. Have not bought alot from you but you are now on my home page.

Great product performs as stated. Fixed my problem with a leaking air hose fitting. The customer service is awesome. They contacted me immediately concerning a back ordered part and I was able to switch to a different part so that I could continue with my repairs.

Before ordering make sure to verify the correct size. Otherwise very good product. Had to order a new valve as the old one had a small air leak. The new one fixed the problem.

- Can the Firestone 1/4 inch Fitting Fit 1/4 inch Water LineThe Firestone Connector # F3046-1 has a 1/4 inch NPT fitting so a 1/4 inch plastic line would fit on it. I can't recommend use water line for use with the air bag system though. But it sounds like you are planning on using the fitting for a different purpose.

- Do The Firestone Air Tanks Have Serial Numbers? The Firestone Air Tank # F9126 is not serialized by Firestone. The information stamped in to the tank identifies the manufacturer, the model number of the tank and the maximum air pressure for the tank. We do have the Firestone Connector # F3046-1 and Elbow Connector # F3031-1 that you will needed to attach the 1/4" air line to the tank.
