These aluminum HD crossbars are built for serious hauling. With a 500-lb weight capacity, you can load up heavy camping gear, kayaks, or even construction materials without worrying about flex or failure. The sturdy build feels solid on the road and gives peace of mind when carrying big loads on long trips.
Each crossbar endcap has built-in tie-down points that make it easy to strap down your gear. Whether you’re securing a canoe for a river trip or holding down a cargo box for a weekend getaway, these tie-downs give you quick access and a secure hold every time.
Rubberized strips in the top channels help reduce wind noise and drag when driving at highway speeds. That means less whistling and vibration from the bars overhead, so you can focus on the drive instead of fighting background noise.
From bikes to skis to rooftop tents, these crossbars handle it all. They’re compatible with most bike, watersport, snow, and cargo carriers that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars. You can use your existing accessories or mix in new ones as your adventures expand.
You can add Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores for theft deterrence. A single key secures both the rack and your mounted gear, so you can leave your setup parked at trailheads or campgrounds knowing it’s protected.

I have used the landing pads with a fully loaded basket and awning. We went on a road trip from Rialto, CA to Los Cabos San Lucas, BC with no signs of failure. I guess, dont judge a book by its covers. Well designed. Thats 1100 miles one way. Some parts of the roads were not that great but everything held up.
