Question:

Hello, I have a 2021 Honda CR-V EX-L with factory side raised rails that run front to back. I am trying to mount a roof top tent with mounting tracks that are just under 34 inches wide, and mount with clamps that need to go under the cross bars. Can you tell me what the maximum mounting width is for these cross bars, especially the rear cross bar because it is more narrow with these cars? Thanks!

To make sure that you can get the spread you need to have to mount your rooftop tent you'll need to take some measurements. On your flush rails there will be fixed mounting points on the top of the rails. When you have flush rails you won't be able to adjust the spread at all. That is your maximum mounting width. If the fixed mounting points match up to your rooftop tent, you can get a roof rack for your 2021 Honda CR-V. I Recommend getting a hefty system like the Yakima HD Bars # Y01156 with the Skyline Towers # Y53TR the adapter for the bars # Y03541 and the landing pad # Y00245. The Rhino Rack bars you're looking at are not the strongest rack system and the stronger the better for rooftop tents.
