Airflow makes or breaks how your Transit feels inside. Without it, the space can feel closed in and stuffy. Adding this sliding window turns that solid panel into a screened, tinted opening that lets air and light into that section.
This sliding window replaces the fixed glass in the passenger side sliding door of your Ford Transit. Instead of a sealed panel, one section of glass slides open to create a vent in the main entry door. When you're parked, cooking inside, or loading gear, that opening lets air move through the center of the van instead of leaving the sliding door closed off.
When the glass is slid open, the integrated mesh screen stays in place to block insects from entering through the door opening. The spring-loaded latch holds the glass where you set it so the panel does not drift while you're driving or parked.
The sliding door is one of the largest glass sections on the Transit and sits at eye level from outside. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see into the van while still allowing visibility out. It also reduces UV exposure through that door glass.
Cutting into the sliding door panel is permanent. The frame has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the door skin. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it's set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, urethane primer is applied around the opening before a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW74ZR - sold separately) is applied. Once the window is pressed into place, the urethane bonds the frame to the body and forms the weather seal that keeps water out. Consistent bead thickness helps create a proper seal, and the window is taped in position while the urethane cures.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Van Windows Direct Passenger Side SE Series Sliding Door Window. Now this window has been designed to fit your 2015 and newer Ford Transit, the T150, T250, and T350. On your screen, I'm also including an image there just to give you the further verification of where this window is going to be placed on your van. On custom fit parts such as this window, I do recommend going through our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer. Just pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you, and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.
But because this is a custom fit item, it is very important to go through our Vehicle Fit Guide. So this is an OE-style, half-slider window, that's designed for the passenger side sliding door. So this is formed to match the factory door panel stamping, giving you a clean integrated appearance. Now the biggest benefit of this window obviously is going to be the sliding glass panel. So I'm going to try to continue to hold this up and come around and show you that functionality here.
So you can see it slides right open and you can see that you're going to be able to enjoy the airflow without worrying about bugs or anything like that because of the built in screen that we have here. It's a mesh screen. So you're going to be able to enjoy that ventilation while keeping those annoying critters out. And then you're gonna be able to just as easily close this and then it's going to latch shut, so it's gonna be nice and secure. So it's gonna be very smooth to open this and close it.
And as I hope you can see here, this does feature a 17% gray solar tint. So as you can see, it's blocking me out pretty good. So that's going to help block out UV rays. It's going to cut down on glare while giving you a darker, more comfortable interior. And then just to kind of go over some measurements, this is obviously going to be custom fitted for your vehicle, but I just kind of want to give you an idea of the size.
So looking at the overall length, we are sitting right at about 53 13/16 inches long at the longest point. The overall height at the highest point is gonna be right about 29 3/16 inches tall. Now on the slider here, I'm gonna see if I can turn this around here real quick to give you a view of the inside. A little bit better view of the inside. Let me make sure I've got this in frame so you can see. Yeah, there we go. So you can see the screen and then you see the latch here that's gonna allow me to open that up. And then push that firmly that it's going to latch shut just like that. So I was giving you the measurements of the slider opening, looking at the height about 20 1/16 inches tall. The length about 17 1/8 inches long. So I'm gonna flip this back around and it comes exactly as you see it. It's going to be this one piece here, but you are obviously going to have to cut an opening into your sliding door. And after that opening is cut, urethane primer is gonna be applied all around that opening before you need to put a continuous bead of that automotive urethane is what I'm trying to say. Now on your screen, I'm listing some parts there that you might want to consider for insulation. Now you will need that urethane primer. And once you have that cutout done and once that window is pressed in into place, that urethane is going to bond the frame to the body and form that weather seal to keep water out. So that consistent bead thickness is what's gonna help create a proper seal. And then the window's going to be taped into position while that urethane cures. So you see I've got some items there that you're gonna need, obviously the urethane and the tape. And I'm including the part numbers there for you as well. So you can just take the part numbers, pop it in the search field of our website that will take you to those parts and you can add that to your order if you are in need of them if you don't already have them. But overall, this is going to be a great option if you want to add ventilation, insect protection due to the screen, and of course that great solar tint that this offers, all while giving you a factory style appearance, the Passenger Side Sliding Door. One final note I want to make is you're not too excited about doing the insulation yourself, that's okay, because on this product page, typically underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to do the install for you. So again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Window is very nice just tool a while to come in for the transit. Wish E-trailer would of sold the rubber molding to go around the cut edges.
