Airflow makes or breaks how your Sprinter feels inside. Without it, the space can feel closed in and stuffy. Adding this premium awning window turns that solid panel into a screened, tinted opening that tilts outward to bring in air.
This awning window replaces the fixed glass in the passenger side sliding door of your Sprinter. The glass is hinged at the top and tilts outward from the bottom on struts, turning that large door panel into a controlled vent. When you're parked, cooking inside, or sleeping in the van, that opening lets air move through the center of the Sprinter instead of leaving the sliding door sealed shut.
With the glass tilted out, the mesh screen keeps insects from entering through the sliding door opening so you can vent the van overnight. The pleated shade gives you a way to cover that door window when you're sleeping inside or leaving gear in the cargo area. You can use the screen and shade together, separately, or retract both for a clear view.
The sliding door is one of the largest glass sections on the Sprinter and sits at eye level from outside. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see into the van while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that door glass.
Cutting into the sliding door panel is permanent. The frame has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the door skin. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane is applied around the perimeter. When the window is set into place, that urethane bonds the frame to the door panel and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the interior cavity. This bond holds the window in place and creates the weather barrier so you can vent the van through the sliding door without letting water into the interior.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at this Van Windows Direct Premium Crank Out Awning Side Window. This is gonna be for the passenger side sliding door, and it's gonna fit those Dodge Sprinters, Freightline Sprinters and Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, all wheel bases. Make sure you're checking the year, make and model on our fit guide over at etrailer.com. Be sure you're getting the right one for your specific fit. Now this is gonna give you a nice OE style sliding door fitment so you can be guaranteed it's gonna fit and formed matching perfectly to those sprinter sliding doors that are from the factory.
And it does feature a nice simple opening here. There's four latches and I'll spin this around when I'm done here and show you the back and it's got two gas struts and as you can see, you can just push 'em. They'll stop exactly where you let go and you can go all the way up, giving you a nice option. Then you have a nice pull down screen that's built in and the same thing. I'll show you that from the back here in a second so you can get a better view and then you just simply pull it closed when the time comes to close it up.
As you can see from this side, you have a nice 17% gray solar tent. It's gonna reduce glares and also block about 83% of those UV rays that are gonna be coming out of the sun. Now as far as installation, you're gonna wanna use automotive urethane to form the primary seal and you can pick that up locally and you can also reach out to us and use our install locator and we can find someone reputable that we're associated with in your area based on your zip code. I do wanna go ahead and spin this around to the back now so you can get a view from the inside. And I'm gonna open it this way first just so you can really see how far it opens.
You got 1, 2, 3, 4 latches, and again, you just simply push it up. It's gonna stop wherever you push it and then you can simply pull it back down. Then I do want to go ahead and spin it all the way so you can see backside and you can get a better view of those latches. You got 1, 2, 3, 4. They just simply latch closed, and then again, that nice pleated sunscreen shade goes up and down with ease and you can set it higher or low as you want to.
Again, folks wrapping it up here, I got 55-3/16" long by 30-5/8" tall. The actual pop out or the awning opening is 33-13/16 long by 18-7/8" tall. That's gonna wrap up our quick look folks, I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching and have a great day.
