Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement Threaded Hitch Pin and Clip for Two Inch Shanks on the Swagman Bike Carriers. Now, this part here will replace the threaded hitch pin and clip for the Swagman bike racks with the two inch hollow shanks. This part will include everything shown here. The threaded hitch pin with the washer that goes on there, and then the clip that'll secure it.
Now, the threaded hitch pin design, it's designed to go through your hitch pin hole on your hitch receiver. And then the thread portion of it will thread into your bike rack shank to reduce the movement between the shank and the hitch receiver. Prevents any rattle from occurring. Now, this will not fit the one and a quarter inch shank bike racks that have the two inch adapter sleeve. A few measurements on this.
I wanna give you the overall length, and when we say length, that's measured from under the bolt head to the very tip. So if we put our rule on it, you'll be able to see that the length is right at four and five eights inches. Now, the thread portion, which is from under the head right to there, that's gonna measure one and three quarter inches. And then the usable length, which would be when we put the clip through here, once that goes through your hitch receiver, you'll clip it in there. So the usable length is gonna be from under the head to where the clip is, and you can see if we put a ruler on that, is right at three and a quarter inches of usable length.
But again, when you go to install this, you put this washer on there, put this through your hitch pin hole, and then start threading it into the shank of the bike rack once it gets tightened down. And put your clip through here. And you're all set, ready to go. But that should do it for the review on the replacement Threaded Hitch Pin and Clip for Two Inch Shanks on the Swagman Bike Carriers.
I had an older Reese bike rack from 2020. I needed a lost hitch pin. The threads matched exactly!!! Life saver!! If you have an older Reese bike rack from the 2020 timeframe this fits!!
Lack of specifications about product. When I asked to return they said it would be at my cost. Should have ordered from [online vendor]. This is BS.

Ordered a part for a bike rack. Delivery date was to be September 13. I needed it for a trip I was leaving on the 14th. It didn’t arrive until after I left on the 14th. Not necessarily your fault but you should know the USPS won’t meet your delivery time.
It came early. It's not black. I added a flat washer and lock washer.
All was as described and service was pr ompt.
I am using this as part of a hitch extension for my hitch carrier on my jeep wrangler and this works great to secure the hitch extension.
I ordered a used Reese Pro Series bike rack from another vender and it was missing the anti rattle hitch pin. No local hardware stores carried it. This hitch pin fits perfectly. Thank you etrailer.

Update:Still working great
Product was wrong size for for the Swagman bike carrier. After several correspondence, it was determined that return shipping was cost prohibitive. I was dissatisfied with the result.

Thank you for your review on P5901.This specific threaded hitch pin is designed for Swagman bike racks with 2 inch hollow shanks. If you have a 1-1/4 shank on your bike rack this hitch pin will not work for your application. If you have a 1-1/4 shank on your swagman bike rack then I recommend part # P5902 for 1 1/4 shanks.

Needed to order an extra threaded hitch pin and cotter pin for my new Swagman platform bike rack (ordered for my travel trailer). Used the original hitch pin and cotter pin to secure a hitch extension I'd bought separately, from another vendor. It came with a hitch pin I was uncomfortable with because it only went halfway through the hitch extension,. whereas the bike rack pin fit nicely and went all the way through so I used it in that application. Called etrailer and they answered fairly quickly, found the model of bike rack I'd bought, found the correct hitch pin set, and I received the set within about a week. Pleased with their service and item quality.
We lost the threaded hitch pin for our 10 year old Swagman bike carrier. Swagman tech support gave us the part number and etrailer had it in stock.
The service from etrailer and Swagman was superb and saved the day. We had the part in our hands in 3 days.
Kudos to Swagman for providing parts for 10 year old models and having the right answer within minutes of answering their support line.

The service was great and I received the part earlier than expected. Unfortunately the part didn’t fit my bike rack receiver but it wasn’t worth sending it back due the low price of the part. I would definitely buy from etrailer again but would make sure I bought the right part first.

You deserve some kind of award for customer service follow-up. For some reason, the part was fractionally larger the hole on the receiving end. I think when I bought it I got the size from another online retailer and then either you had a link or I googled a pin that size. I never blamed etrailer for the size mismatch. I use it for a bike carrier that attaches to my car. I havent been able to use the bike carrier, but I just threw my bike in my SUV or let my friend drive. I was biking 3 times a week, and now Im biking 3 times a year. It hasnt been a big deal so I didnt take the effort to reorder. This e-mail is amazing and I believe your company will be blessed for your effort. You are obviously a company with integrity and it will pay off. Good luck.

Our 2nd hand bike rack didn't come with the hitch pin and I have never seen one like this. I was so glad that etrailer had just what I needed. It was very helpful to read the questions and answers to make sure I had the right one.
we found we need to use a lock washer with this bolt and pin to keep it tight. we love the bikerack and use it often.
The products (hitch pin and clip) that I received in the mail were the exact products that I needed. The photos were extremely helpful in making my decision since my bike carrier has the Reese label on it.
If I would have known a hitch pin came with the bar I would not of ordered a second one.
I ordered this to replace a missing threaded hitch pin for an older Outfitter Adventure system bike rack. It fit perfectly. (2" square hitch)
I ordered another hitch pin to use in my Ram Truck 2500, thinking that I would have to weld an extension on the pin for my 2.5" receiver. Happily, this pin came with the capacity for either a 2" or a 2.5" receiver. It came quickly after ordering. So happy!!!

We do not offer Bell bike racks at etrailer. Parts on bike racks are often proprietary and my advice would be to contact Bell or a Bell dealer to source the correct part.
