Ordered a hitch harness along w/discrete wires. All came in as ordered. Harness is a well made custom overmolded product that includes various/appropriate AWG wires for each pin/connector. Looks like it w/last a long time.

  • What Gauge Wire Is Safe To Use With Tail Light Converters On My Chevy Silverado.
You can use 14 or 16 gauge wire, either will be able to safely handle the amp load on your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado. Here are a few choices we have 14 Gauge Primary Wire - Yellow - # DW02412-1 and 14 Gauge Primary Wire - Red - # DW02408-1 as well as 14 Gauge Primary Wire - Blue - # DW02414-1.

  • Troubleshooting Blown Brake Light Fuse When Towing Roadmaster Tow Dolly Behind RV
It sounds like you have a short somewhere on your brake light circuit. Since your Roadmaster Tow Dolly # RM-2050-1 is newer I believe the problem is on your RV. Start off by checking both the connector on your tow dolly and your RV and make sure that the pins which carry the brake signals (on either side of the connector) are in good condition and don't have any corrosion. If these look good then you will want to check the wiring itself. Look for any places that have exposed or bent wiring...

  • Troubleshooting Furrion Observation Camera Not Activating on Trailer Due to Low Voltage
The best solution for your problem is to address why your trailer's running light circuit has too low of voltage for the Furrion camera to function. Most likely the wiring of your running light circuit needs to be replaced with a heavier gauge wire. It sounds like the resistance of longer wiring has lowered the voltage which is causing the problem you mentioned. You most likely have 16 or 18 gauge wire ran for this circuit. I'd replace it all with 14 gauge wire like the part # DW02412-1...

  • Troubleshooting No Power to Left Turn/Stop Trailer Fuse on 2005 Chevy Silverado
Since you aren't getting power to either side of the fuse the only way that you could get your left turn/stop circuit to work on the 7-Way of your 2005 Chevy Silverado without taking it in to a shop is to splice in behind your left tail light and route 14 Gauge Wire # DW02412-1 from the left turn/stop circuit to the pin in the 9 o'clock position on your 7-Way. I recommend using heat shrink butt connectors like part # DW05745-5 to do so. If you'd rather not do that then you need to take...

  • Troubleshooting Left Turn and Running Light Trailer Functions on a 1997 Ford F-350 4x4
It sounds like you spliced in a second 7-Way connector like part # 20023 to the current 7-Way wiring on your 1997 Ford F-350 for an in-bed camper and the lights on the camper aren't working. Is the original 7-Way testing correctly? If it is but the in-bed 7-Way isn't testing correctly then you have isolated the issue to the wiring harness that you installed. If neither are working correctly then I would try testing the wiring before the splice with a circuit tester like part # 40376 to...

  • Troubleshooting Charge Line Kit Not Working When Flat Towing a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek
What you are describing sounds like the 15A circuit breaker that comes with the Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 is shot. This can easily be replaced with another circuit breaker like the 20A # 9506P but since your kit is only a year old it would be good to check your wiring as well as these shouldn't go out that quick. Check to make sure that all of the wiring looks good and it isn't exposed. If you do see that some of the wiring is damaged or exposed and you need replacement wire then we...

  • Converting 5-Way Round Connector on Trailer to 4-Way Flat Connector for use with a Motorcycle
Since you will be gutting the wiring on your motorcycle trailer what I recommend doing is installing the Hopkins Endurance Easy-Pull Y-Harness # HM48244 along with the Curt Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # C56196. What this does is give you an Easy-Pull harness to make disconnecting your trailer wiring from your motorcycle easier, 2 wires for the running lights, and 2 wires for your stop/turn signals. Since you have separate turn signals simply use the converter to isolate your...

There is another option but the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8120Q you were looking at is for a 2007-2014 GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado. For your 2020 Toyota Tacoma you will need the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PL54FR which will not require drilling. The Pop & Lock # PL54FR will bolt to your factory tailgate handle and the included wiring harness will connect to a black and blue wire located by the driver side B-Pillar on your vehicle which allows it to be locked and...

  • Recommended 7-Way Connector for Trailer and Wire for 12V Trickle Charge
Since I am not entirely sure what you have on your trailer, I will give you a few different options for a 7-way trailer end connector. If you only need the plug, I recommend the Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector - Trailer End # PK12706. For a plug that is pre-wired with a little slack to make connections, I recommend the Bargman 7-Pole Round Connector w/ Hardware - Trailer End - 1' Long # 54-67-525. • Need Brake Flange For Adding Brakes to Homemade Trailer
Since your hubs are for 5200-lb axles and you've confirmed that you do have a 3" diameter axle, you'll need the Redline 5 Bolt Flange # 4-44-1 . You should know, if you don't already, that brake flanges need to be welded perfectly concentric. For that reason we generally recommend that the work be done by an experienced trailer shop that has the required jig. To add brakes to your axles you'll need a couple additional parts- brakes and a hub and drum assembly. For brakes I recommend the...
